Afterschool program, mentor change life for high school senior | Mott Foundation Life for Deyana “Dee Dee” Surles dramatically improved after she started attending an afterschool program in Saginaw. The program and a mentor put her on a track to attend college.

I’ve never struggled with anxiety until after my child (children) died. 🖤

People often ask me why do I have anxiety. I try and explain to them in the nicest way possible, that i’ve lost two children, my heart has been ripped from my chest, and my world destroyed.

I struggle with keeping my anxiety at a manageable level on a daily. I haven’t given up on myself. Healing takes time, and I’m a definitely still a work in progress. ❤️‍🩹
