Hi everyone, please check out the California Wildfire Survey (see link below). UC Davis scientists are conducting research on wildfires in California, including the current fires burning across the state. What researchers learn will help communities be better prepared for wildfires in the future. Learn more and get the link to the survey through our new page: https://www.facebook.com/CaliforniaWildfireSurvey

Hi, UC Davis researchers are recruiting people in Northern California to take the #COVID19 Community Survey to assess how the pandemic and related shelter-in-place (lockdown) measures are affecting people in our local area. The goal is to better understand what the greatest impacts and challenges are and who is most at risk and might need more support. This will help us be better prepared to respond to future pandemics that might arise.

The survey is confidential. Follow and share this link: https://redcap.ucdmc.ucdavis.edu/redcap/surveys/?s=DNEN99XFEL
hello where do we watch the live stream California Black Health Network
Wondering how smoke, poor air quality and the emotional toll from wildfires in 2018 and 2019 may have affected you? So are researchers from the UC Davis Environmental Health Sciences Center who are investigating the wildfires that burned across the state over the past two years. If you were living in California during any of these wildfires, and are 18 or older, we invite you to take our statewide survey online here: https://ucdavis.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eLp7b7N9wn5ZdHf

We’re interested in hearing from people who lived in counties that had fires, or in surrounding areas affected by smoke. We also encourage people who were NOT directly affected by the fire, ash, or smoke to take the survey. The information we’re gathering will be part of a large study funded by the National Institutes of Health to learn how wildfires are affecting the mental and physical health of our communities, both now and over the long-term.

The major goals of the survey are to understand what factors contribute most to adverse health outcomes or, on the other side, more resilient health and quicker recovery, as well as to help government agencies, health care providers and community groups provide better services to people affected by #wildfires.

Our survey is online and confidential, and takes 20 to 30 minutes to complete. Thank you! #californiawildfire #readyforwildfire

Our Story

#HealthyBlackPeople That’s our story and we’re sticking to it. For more than 40 years, CBHN has focused on multiple strategies and tactics to improve the health and well being of African Americans in Californians. In 2017, we refined our strategies to focus on policy change directed by the voice of the people. We visited the people, heard their direct concerns and began, with the help of health policy experts and those that share our values, to construct a Black Health Agenda (BHA).
