The School of Information (iSchool) and the College of Nursing at Kent State University are conducting a research study, Project SHIELD (Supporting Healthy Infant Early Learning and Development), to explore ways librarians and nurses can work with parents and caregivers of infants and toddlers to support early brain development, learning, and health.

As a first step in the study, we are conducting a survey of healthcare practitioners who care for families with children, ages 0-24 months, to understand the different ways they support families with children ages 0-24 months. The survey should take around 15-20 minutes of your time. All responses are anonymous and the study has been approved by the Kent State University IRB.

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸!
We want to take this time to thank you for the time, energy, and crucial work that you do. Our team has great respect for your contributions in protecting and caring for our youngest citizens and we recognize your efforts in keeping children safe and well.

Visit https://kent.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_esA4kqQi7lomW10 to complete the survey.

If you have technical issues or any questions, please contact, the Project SHIELD Team: [email protected]

Again, we would be honored if you take part in this important work, so that we can all find ways of partnering to support the very young.

With gratitude,
The Project SHIELD Team

What is going on with California Board of Nursing? I have applied & submitted all required documents for RN license by endorsement over 3.5 months ago but the application is still in pending status. When I call none answers and the phone hangs up. Sometimes the message says they will call back but they never do. When I email, it keeps directing me to an automated response taking me right to the pending status.
I do not know what else to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

In 1966, The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. gave a speech to the Medical Committee for Human Rights, where he decried injustice in health care as shocking and inhumane. His words unfortunately still ring true today, as the Omicron variant surge continues to expose longstanding racial disparities in patient outcomes.

King is pictured here on Yale’s campus on June 16, 1964, when he received both an honorary degree and a standing ovation.
