Future ideas for The Pit Stop Sabinal Cabins. Sometimes simplicity is the greatest adventure

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the future closing of The Pit Stop Sabinal. We will still be open until our current inventory runs out. We will temporarily be operating as a basic snack shack. Items still on the menu include bobas, shaved ice, nachos, frito pies, hot Cheetos with cheese, fries, lemonade, and Ice cream. With the economy the way it is it just isn’t financially feasible to stay operating as a restaurant, therefore, I will be turning The Pit Stop Sabinal into glamping rental cabins. We are also working on a food stand that will be available for rent for local events. And remember….When one door closes…another opens. Stay tuned!

Our drive thru will be temporarily closed. A gust of wind knocked over one of my buildings and it is blocking the drive thru. Please excuse the mess or commotion while we make any necessary repairs. 😞 We will still be open for regular hours

The pizza oven is fired up and ready for the dough! We will be open 1pm to 7pm! It’s going to be a hot one folks! We have all the refreshing ice cream, fresh lemonade, bobas, shaved ice, mangonadas and cucumber cups.

Due to heat advisory and electric companies asking businesses to cut down on usage we will not be running our pizza oven to prevent an overload on power. That way everyone can stay cool in this hot weather. We are still offering some hot foods i.e wings, fries, nachos, frito pies, corn dogs and of course we will still have our cold drinks, mangonadas and ice creams.

High temperatures and drought have been greatly impacting the usual traffic through our little town of Sabinal Tx. Where the usual busy summer highway traffic used to flow…now there is only a trickle of vehicles. No tubers in swim suites stopping by for a bite or cold treat. No rvs parking to picnic outside and stretch their legs. Top that with a failing economy, rising cost of product and high gas prices…makes things difficult for small business owners and small towns alike. We ask that locals as well as visitors are understanding when we temporarily run out of product or close early on extremely slow days. Always feel free to call or message on social media to confirm our hours of operation as we work though this tough spot this season. for rain

We will be closed 4-17 in observance of the Easter holiday. We will reopen for regular business hours on Wednesday 4-20. We hope everyone has a beautiful and safe Easter! 🥰 💕

We will be open today 3pm to 7pm for shaved ice, ice cream, bobas and snack foods only. After a VERY busy Friday and Saturday we sold out of our back up supply as well. I will have everything restocked by Wednesday. We thank you for your business and apologize for any inconvenience.

Just in time for the summer and with plenty of time to get on the radar for the solar eclipse of 2024! Keeping it to a max of 3 RVs. God is good 🙌 In the mean time…please pardon our dust as we make the necessary installments of our hook up sites!
