Today we celebrate all the dads, grandfathers, coaches, and father figures who show up every day, lead by example, and support their athletes through every practice, game, and challenge.

Thank you for the sacrifices, encouragement, and lessons that help shape the next generation both on and off the court.

📝 Taylar Wright put together one of the most complete performances of the entire weekend and firmly established herself among Louisiana’s premier prospects in the 2027 class. Wright embraced the leadership role for Wossman and guided the Wildcats to a perfect 4-0 record with impressive wins over Slidell, Fairview, Zachary, and U-High.

At 5’11 with outstanding length and athleticism, Wright impacts the game on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she possesses the versatility to guard multiple positions and consistently disrupt opposing offenses. Offensively, she serves as Wossman’s primary facilitator, displaying strong court vision and decision making while keeping teammates involved.

Wright is a reliable perimeter shooter who can stretch defenses, but she’s equally effective creating her own offense off the bounce. What separates her from many prospects, however, is her competitive nature and winning mentality. Her energy, leadership, and ability to make winning plays were on display throughout the weekend as she consistently elevated the level of play around her.

Stock Up 📈 One of the biggest winners of the weekend and a major reason Wossman left West Monroe with a statement-making undefeated performance.

📝 Hernandez started out intense right off the bat. She had many quick steals which led to easy points for her team to get ahead quick. She can also shoot the 3 very well and is very good at getting her teammates involved as well with her ability to push the ball in transition.
