"Feeding Greene is thrilled to announce that the Virginia Dept of Social Services has granted us an additional $10,000 in state income tax credits, through the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP).

The purpose of the NAP is to encourage businesses, trusts and individuals to make donations to approved 501(c) organizations for the benefit of low-income people. In return for their contributions, donors will receive tax credits equal to 50 percent of the donation that can be applied toward their state income tax liability.

The minimum donation for individuals is $500, and the minimum for companies is $616.
