Realize Rowlett 2020 is a fast-paced, focused initiative to create a vision of Rowlett’s future and a set of action items to make that vision a reality.
Through this effort, the City’s Comprehensive Plan will be reviewed and updated, providing direction for future decisions on land use, economic development and public capital investments.
This is a message from the Rowlett Animal Shelter located at 4402 Industrial Street. The city shelter is currently at maximum capacity and we are asking our residents to please consider adopting a new pet. Adoption rates have been reduced to help the shelter get back under capacity. Cat and dog adoptions are $ 25.00 until close of business on Saturday, March 9, and that includes the adoption fee, spaying and/or neutering, and vaccinations. Call 972-412-6219 for more information.

As the year winds down we're reflecting on all the work, meetings, input and accomplishments of this past year. We refined the Realize Rowlett 2020 vision and rezoned four areas to Form-Based Codes with extensive public and property owner input! Thanks again to everyone who served on an advisory board or task force, attended a public meeting, or gave their input in any way!
Our office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, December 24th and 25th. We'll be back on December 26th! Happy Holidays!

Join us on Main Street from 3pm to 6pm today (December 1st) to celebrate the DART station opening! Enjoy music, fire works, the tree lighting, and train rides to Garland and back! Regular DART service starts on Monday.

The DART celebration is this Saturday, December 1st, 2012 from 3pm to 6pm in Downtown and, DART service to Rowlett begins Monday, December 3rd!
