pointed out today, “It seems like you’re always in Round Top.” 🤣 For one, leading worship for The Gathering and serving with my girl, is one of my favorite things to do twice a year. 😁 I never feel like we’re breaking new ground or doing earth shattering things, but you wouldn’t believe the little stories and connections that grow from each time. Second, and no less wonderful, it’s when my sister in law (who also happens to be a realtor in Houston) take a quick get away from our 6 young kiddos and bond over our love of antique and vintage treasures! So, do I talk about Round Top a lot? Well, yes. I go at least 2 times per year for the last 12 years and I’d go more if I could. 😁 It’s reunions, it’s bonding, it’s new friends, and most of all, it’s Jesus doing His thing. ❤️
I don’t know where you’re at right now in life, but I’ll tell you that I’m in a tug of war. Business is great, my marriage and the kids are great, and as far as I know, we are all healthy. However, over the last 8 weeks there has been a death of one of my family members, friends, or friend’s parents every week, including my own grandfather. Today I will finish a closing then go sing at a funeral. We know that life on earth is not forever. The only thing keeping me from shriveling is that I believe with all of my heart that anyone who puts their faith in Jesus will live forever with him in heaven. Grace IS a sweet sound.

When I was a kid I remember playing “business” or “store” and made my brother buy things from me. I hated playing house or school like most kids then. I think it comes as no surprise to people that know me personally now, but I actually really LOVE to work. So, when I “have to” work on the weekends as a realtor it’s honestly not a chore at all. I’d rather be working than watching TV, or going to the farmers market, or whatever it is that people do on their day off. Cheers to good work, and cheers to good iced coffee along the way.🧋

When I was a teenager I loved going to thrift stores searching for whatever the next trend was. At the time it was bell bottoms and pedal pushers (soon to be this “new” thing called Capri pants). My mom would cringe and threaten to throw the stuff away while I was at school. 25 years later she’s become wiser and now we both love thrifting for treasures. Last week when I was in Houston we went together and I found this pink silk blazer with shoulder pads for $2.50. It cost me more to have it dry cleaned. 🤣

One of my listings went under contract this morning, then we decided to have a spontaneous few hours in the Fort Worth Stockyards! Cattle drives, a parade, fire trucks, horses, and ice cream! Pretty much every kid’s dream! I ❤️ Cowtown.

Are you needing a night with the girls? A night to rest? A night to remember who you are in Christ? I night to give your heart a hug? Then you need to be at the next Gathering in Round Top at . I’ll be leading worship and Rachel from Joy Pottery will be sharing her testimony. Y’all, I’ve seen her 3 times and it literally never gets old. If you know, you know. Drop a comment if you’ve seen her 👇! But seriously, there are a few tickets left if you go to the link in profile. There will be food and dessert and probably some other goody too because Tara can’t help herself. 😂 Feb 20.

Buy a new house and I promise I’ll find the best coffee and park close to you before closing day! Or, in this case, inspection day. ✅ ☕️

“With every breath that I am able, I will sing of the goodness of God.” Just because I trust in the always goodness of God doesn’t mean I think everything will always feel good to me. The Lord says that in this world we will face trials, but to not fear because He has overcome the world. I’m looking forward to this next year, but not because I’m going to conquer some crazy goal and own this year, but because I fully trust that God is good. He is a solid foundation I can stand on when everything around me is rocky and unpredictable. So...WELCOME 2021. It’s nice to meet you. I can’t wait to get to know you and see how God will use you this year. I hope we can be friends. Love, Debbie
