“My doctor said I need to calm down.”
“My doctor told me my weight gain was fine. I’d turned forty, after all, so I should get used to it.”
Many women who consult with me have consulted with other physicians only to be rebuffed, or gaslit.
These are REAL things that women have told me of their previous experiences.
The woman experiencing weight gain proceeded to tell me that the physician ended their appointment by telling her it was all in her head.
The truth was, it wasn’t.
Women are prone to feeling debilitated by physician’s disregard or misguided attempts at support. They need to be heard.
Hormonal imbalance effects each woman differently based on their bodies chemical make up, environmental influences and which hormone is out of balance making it important for the physician to listen and treat the body as a whole.
If you’re experiencing symptoms that you’d consider abnormal for you I encourage you to consult with a physician who is going to take the time to find the root cause of your symptoms.

There’s a misconception that self-care is selfish, so tell me this...
Why wouldn’t you value something that allows you to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself, and in turn others around you?
When referring to self-care, this term is used to describe anything you intentionally do for your mental, physical, and emotional health.
🚫 It’s not selfish to care for yourself.
🙅♂️ Learn to say no.
💓 Do things you love.
🥑 Fuel your body with nutritious food.
🏃🏻♀️ Move your body regularly.
Self care is different for everyone. A few ideas mentioned in the graphic by are great places to start!
Most importantly, remember to love yourself - this is key to living your best life 👏🏻🤍
