🌸Spring into Clean Rug Care Tip!

Believe it or not, rugs can hold up to 4X their weight in dirt! 🤯

Now, us rug lovers know that not all rugs are the same. We have machine made, handmade, low pile, shags, wool, viscose, polypropylene, too many to name but they all get soiled from foot traffic, spills, furr baby accidents etc. Once that happens its is definitely time to think about a professional cleaning but in the mean time.....

📣This is a great vacuuming trick that (weirdly) always puts a smile 😊 on my face because it is astonishing how much dirt a rug can hold!

⭐️First, I would recommend doing this in an area that can get a little dusty, like your garage.

⭐️Vacuum the top of your rug, at a slow pace, back and forth.

⭐️Then flip your rug over and vacuum a little slower than before. The vibration on the back will shake lose any dirt that gets embedded down to the bottom of the pile.

⭐️You may be surprised at what you might find when you pick up that rug!👀 If there is loose particles on the ground, vacuum those up, re-vacuum the top and start all over with vacuuming the back again. This can be done a few times.

This is particularly great with dense low pile rugs because they can really hold in that dirt.

Routine vacuuming is a great way to freshen up rugs in between cleanings.

🎉Today is Dave's B-Day! It's been 8 months and 6 days since his stroke and he is doing gang busters! He really wanted to see if he could clean a rug, so I let him go to work on one of our own! Look at that smile!
