As we start another warm wedding day, I think back to 2 weeks ago to Carly and Nick’s special day . It was a day full of fun, friends and love. Hoping the same for Kayleigh and Isaac today!

Chubby cheeks, tiny fingers….you miss these when your own kids grow big. At least we can enjoy Hudson and his baby rolls!

Who else is super excited that summer is here? Kylie for sure is! Congratulations class of 2021! It’s been a weird long road, but you did it!

Do you know why I love sun flare so much? Because it also reminds me of good times on the beach, at the park, spent with friends and family and surrounded by love. So if you get an image like that from me, just know that, for me, it represents all those things. Anna and Austin were lucky enough to catch a flare a few weeks back at their engagement session . Their wedding this month will be awesome!

Me when I realized it’s been more than 6 months since I posted on Instagram. 😧 And it’s not because I haven’t had any work, simply life is busy AF.

Beau took us all by surprise when he tried to steal my camera buddy off my lens! I love my little monkey, and he often gets some laughs. Love spending time with the Ansley family!

Had such a good afternoon yesterday working on some branding images with Chloe for her business. I love everything about this image!

This happy babe was all smiles for me the morning of the Berendt Family’s session. His brother gave up a few too. Gotta love those mischievous grins and sweet smiles.

This beautiful mama recently had identical triplets girls! I was so honored to be part of their gender/triplet reveal earlier in the summer! Congratulations Nykia + Brian on your baby girls and so glad to hear everyone is doing well!

I also did an with Ford and Mary. When my own kids were this little m, I spent hours just sitting their with them snapping pictures of ordinary moments. I’m so glad I did because these memories slip away so easily. I love that I could capture these two just playing and enjoying the morning light.

It doesn’t seem more than a moment ago that Mary was a newborn sleeping sweetly. She is always a fun loving energetic model and so is her little brother Ford. So happy to see the Northington family again this year for their annual family session!

Sometimes those sun flares we try to avoid, add just the right amount of drama to your epic family photo!

It’s so fun to be one! Charlie got to play in the confetti for his first birthday! He wasn’t so fond of the cake and he definitely didn’t care for the pop up rain shower that stopped the outdoor part of the session. Lol

This adorable couple is actually my nephew Jose and his girl Elly. Elly graduated Georgia State in May and Jose just graduated in August. Congrats you two and welcome to real world adulting!

I’m always playing catch up these days. And what better way to catch up than to post this amazing maternity session with the gorgeous Christa and Spencer. I can’t wait to meet baby Swinn, but meanwhile we can swoon over these pics!

There is nothing sweeter than the way a new baby looks up at Mom and Dad. Congrats to Lindsey and Ryan on the birth of their baby girl, Emerson. She is just so precious!

I’ve been quiet because I’ve been taking the time lately to listen and to learn. I am learning how I can be a better ally for BIPOC going forward. I have not used hashtags, because I do not want to take away from the voices that have so much to teach us about how we can do better in supporting Black Lives Matter. The one thing I do know that I can add to the conversation is that to enact long term change, ya’ll better get out there and .❤️

Yesterday I wept for George Floyd and his little girl, Gianna, who will grow up without her dad. For all those who have died needlessly at the hands of police, for all those families left behind, for all those who don’t feel safe walking through a white neighborhood, for little boys who have to learn that there is a point where they go from cute to being feared, for the systemic racism that plagues our country, for all the black men and women and POC who no doubt have experienced some form of demeaning discrimination. I am angry for you. I am sad for the world. My whole family is angry. My whole family is sad.

I know I am incredibly privileged. My skin is white, my hair is blonde. I am keenly aware of my privilege. I was born in South Africa during apartheid. My husband is Chilean and himself has been unfairly targeted by police officers. I have 2 children who have my fair complexion and one whose skin is more brown like his Dads. I will never experience discrimination based on the color of my skin. I am an ally for those who do.

Let’s all be allies so that our children don’t have to grow up in violence and discrimination. So that black men and women no longer feel devalued and know their worth. Stand up for injustice.

Sometimes, in the past, I would get so busy I’d be super proud of an image but have to move into the next project without much more thought. Advika’s dad had special request for digital backdrops and while not normally something I do, I was really happy with the outcomes. Check out little 6 day old Advika! So precious!
