Oh, and here’s lil Gabby Skye playing U10 rugby at seven years old! Her coaches say they’ve never seen such fierceness and natural ability?!
This book is yummy.
I bought it in the streets of Nairobi for my 8 year old but I am enjoying it myself. Great job ❤️❤️
Thank you.
I didn’t grow up with those messages. Probably my generation, no brothers and a southern mom.
Who cares.
I know it now and if every little girl hears it and believes it, look out world.
What a force💜
Thank you Kate T. Parker.

First day of high school for this girl. Wishing Allie (and everyone) the very best for an awesome year. ❤️

I love this so much! Working on the images/quotes/layout for book #5, celebrating girls who use and raise their voices for good. 👑 Swipe to see why Leighton is so awesome.

Coziest bed ever.

Sweet casting call for in atlanta! Swipe to see the details.

My sweet, dog loving Ella is leaving for college in less than two weeks. These pups aren’t the only ones who are going to miss her around here. 🥲❤️

(Mostly) annual family trip to the lake. Five stars, highly recommend.

Love you happy 15th to my sweet, sassy, always singing baby. Hope you have the most amazing year ever. ❤️

Calling all Atlanta high school athletes (track/cross country/lacrosse/football) for casting call for paid shoot. Swipe for details!

My (not so little) force of nature.

Betty and the beach.

Had the privilege to photograph on a few occasions during her storied career. She’ll be retiring at the end of this season and I can’t wait to see how she continues to change the world for the better. Keep inspiring us to speak up and out, Pinoe.

She’s 3. ❤️❤️❤️ Seeing the wisdom of these girls and women in my next book will never stop impressing me.

Happy 4th, everyone. ❤️

One of my favorite shots ever. Took this (a staggering) 11 years ago trying to entertain the girls outside our neighborhood Mexican place. I, of course, had my camera with me and caught this moment.

Watching your last ever soccer tourney this week. 🥲 So proud and thankful for all that this sport, these teammates, these coaches have given you since you were three. A few of my favorites, love you and let’s go santos.

Been waiting for you summer. ☀️ ❤️

The best.

We ❤️ Betty. She’s such a smart, good girl and we are all in love with her (except Tobin 🐶 , she’s not a fan. At all).

The process of shooting and writing a book is looong. Like, so long. But, so exciting when things start happening and it feels like a real book. Got the first pass of images in and cannot wait for this one. ❤️❤️❤️

Happiest of 18th birthdays to my e. Love you and couldn’t be prouder of who you are.

Betty is pretty perfect. ❤️

One thing I know for certain, as every other mother does: it’s hard. In some moments, it’s impossible. And then you realize, a moment later, that whatever was impossible was possible after all. Whatever had to be done, got done. Whatever needed to be said, got said. By you. The other side of this impossible challenge is the impossible joy that comes in, too, just as present, and just as powerful.

Danke to for hosting an exhibition of my work in Germany. It looks amazing and am in awe that folks from all over the world are seeing these images and hearing this message. 🥲❤️🔥

So incredibly proud of these girls and this team. Final four bound! As a parent of a senior, who has been watching her play since she was three, I am so, so thankful for (at least) one more game.

What a game! For the first time in program history, Ella’s high school team made it to the elite 8 round of Georgia state playoffs. Love these girls, this team and coaches. Let’s go !!!!

4 years ago today I was sitting at my kitchen counter getting ready for a book event I had in a few hours and my phone rang with a NYC number. It was my publisher, , sharing the VERY UNEXPECTED news that our book that had just come out, made the NY Times Best Sellers list. It was one life’s really awesome moments, something I had dreamed of, but never really thought would happen. I was screaming and crying and jumping around my kitchen with the dogs. My family were all out at school and work, so the dogs celebrated with me. This memory popped up for me on Facebook today and I am so thankful to remember and relive that excitement and joy and pride. I am still so proud of this book, sharing these stories and celebrating boyhood, whatever that looks and feels like. Always so grateful to Workman and my editor for making my books and work so much better.

I have been a fan of this team ever since I discovered it existed when I was around 12. A collection of talented, badass, fierce competitors who show us what is possible off and on the field. What a dream job to shoot this team for the new jersey launch. Pinch me.

Found this one today while searching for an image for another event to celebrate her senior year of high school. (There’s a lot ❤️). Can’t believe this was 11 years ago. Still fierce, still has this look, still freckled. Some things never change, thanks goodness.

Enough.

Sunday afternoon.

Spring break with these two…sun, sand, tacos, Snapchat and TikTok.

19 years ago…and today. ❤️Happy anniversary to us. Love this life and family we made. 🍀 me.

Azaleas are in bloom. Clocks went forward. All the signs are there…spring is coming!! 🌺

Celebrating the strength, power and potential of girls and women everyday.

Was so sorry to hear of the passing of disability icon Judy Heumann over the weekend. I had the honor of meeting and shooting her recently and was in awe of her strength, courage and kindness…and that smile. Sending love to her friends, family and the disability community.
“I simply refused to accept what I ws told about who I could be. And I was willing to make a fuss about it.” Judy Heumann

Night swimming.

Wishing this adorable face the happiest of days. Happy 9th to my nephew, Sammy. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Monday.

We all need a Gigi in our lives. ❤️❤️❤️. “My Gigi has always taught me to be a leader to all my peers. The most important lesson she taught me and has shown me is to always spread the idea of unity in the community. My Gigi never fails to stand up for what is right and constantly demonstrates that every day in her own community and life. She teaches me never to let someone tear me down and to always treat others with respect and kindness.
Just knowing my Gigi is a safe space and I can talk to her about anything helps me know that I can ask her advice whenever I need it about EVERYTHING.” - Ella, 15
