Megan’s most recent work includes a series of abstract mixed media paintings entitled Elemental. Inspired by moments she experiences on her walks in nature, using materials evoking the elements, she develops the piece, allowing her inner guidance to respond to that initial inspiration and evolve it into an abstract expression of the feeling or gestalt of that moment.

This is going to be fun!!

Check out my new sculptural tree door with faux wood grain! The tree has been sculpted in bas relief on the front of the door and the door and door jamb to have been painted to look like wood grain. We picked a lighter color for the finish on the door so the tree would stand out, but made sure to coordinate both with the wood floors, railing, and kitchen around the door.

We recently installed this log cabin mural on canvas for the retro chic super millennial PBS in ATL. Super fun!

Aren't these new corinthian capitals and bases pretty? Just finished these up, more to come at this lovely home...

We used see great tricks of the trade to create these very large very graphic stripes. If you've ever tried to paint a straight line you know it can be a challenge, but with the right techniques you can really nail it!!

We recently painted these stripes inspired by 70's vans and graphic design in the new PBS at Battery Park, Atlanta.

My favorite mural so far is called "Give It Time." Located in Mindful Body Natural Healing Services, it's a peaceful porch overlooking a coastal GA sunrise. Details like the praying mantis, egrets, deer, sea shells, rabbits, garden basket, pelican, sunrise, live oaks, magnolia, and shrimp boats were selected for their special meaning to the client. Above the chair rail is painted on canvas so she can take it with her if she moves. Below is painted to look like antique bead board. The 4th wall of the room is mirrored so wherever people sit in this waiting area, they can enjoy the peaceful scene.

We recently added one of my gold leaf waterlilies paintings to Dr. William Sun's foyer, along with his name in Chinese, which I painted when he moved in the new office. Dr. Sun is a wonderful chiropractor and acupuncturist in Buckhead (Atlanta) and I am so happy to enhance his office with one of my favorite pieces.

We love Aura Hair and Makeup! Just added the orchid motif to the Aura Bare and Bronze Room, in a lovely metallic gold. (Did you know they offered spray tanning and waxing?) Well they do, and it's in a pretty room too!

We love Aura! Recently painted the orchid motif we designed years ago and they revamped for two powder rooms in the new location in Sandy Springs. Featuring metallic paint (named "Smoke"), they have a beautiful contemporary feeling and a lovely metallic sheen. Love how the motifs reflect in the mirrors.

Omari asked me to mentor him for his high school senior project. Check out his awesome mural including white light, black light, and glow in the dark!

We finished up this Georgia Natural Landscape mural for Barnwell Elementary school right before Christmas, featuring the state symbols and other fun nature details for the media center renovation...

Welcome to the world Baby Cruz! A cute Noah's Ark themed mural inspired by the Lambs and Ivy Noah's Ark crib set my client selected for the room..

The award is part of a series of paintings I've created over the last few years, each on individually designed with the recipient and their accomplishments in mind. This one includes an old school that had been burned out and was slated for destruction, but Joe Gliessner and the community rebuilt it as affordable safe apartments. It features a skyline of Louisville in the background to represent the community, along with construction workers, home owners, apartment dwellers and a repair man in the background, all part of the community participating in building and maintaining their community. The tulips and Kentucky blue grass are symbolic of Kentucky and the derby, and also of the planting and tending of seeds and bulbs over time, renewal and growth, all part of his legacy.

I have created 15 awards for NeighborWorks America over the last few years. This important organization supports non-profits working in affordable housing nationwide and it's been my honor to create artwork honoring great people doing good work for our community.
