💙 Faces of CareForce: Meet Linda

Nearly 10 years ago, Linda volunteered at her very first California CareForce clinic as a Vision Volunteer in Sacramento. What started as one day of service quickly became something much bigger.

After retiring, Linda found even more ways to give back by volunteering in our office, helping with bookkeeping and volunteer support.

Today, she's a valued member of our team and will serve as the Vision Lead for our upcoming 2026 Humboldt County Healthcare Clinic.

When asked why she continues to volunteer, her answer says it all:

"I feel like I'm contributing to something worthwhile. It gives me a sense of purpose."

Linda shared that one of the things she loves most about California CareForce is that we provide healthcare without judgment—never turning patients away based on income, ID, or immigration status.
She also says it's the people who keep her coming back.

"The energy at the clinics is amazing... it reminds me of the good in the world."

Road trip recap! 🚗💨 Team California CareForce took on Humboldt County last week for the Volunteer Expo, and it was a massive success!

From the breathtaking drive up the coast to the incredible energy inside the room, it was a week to remember.

​We had the absolute best time connecting with the Humboldt County community, sharing our vision, and getting people fired up for the 2026 Humboldt County Free Healthcare Clinic happening this November.

Two weeks ago, we had the incredible honor of serving alongside the Placer Veterans Stand Down to provide FREE dental, medical, and vision care to veterans in our community.

This event was only possible because of the amazing volunteers, providers, partners, and supporters who gave their time, compassion, and hearts to serve those who have served our country.

To every veteran we had the privilege of caring for — thank you for your trust, strength, and service. It was an honor to meet you, hear your stories, and provide care with dignity and compassion.

And to our volunteers — thank you for the long hours, teamwork, kindness, and countless moments of care that made this weekend so meaningful. Your impact reached far beyond the clinic walls. ❤️
