We are preparing crews and advising you to be aware of the potential of severe weather. Henri is expected to bring moderate winds and rain to our area beginning Saturday evening. These conditions could worsen if the path of Henri shifts to the west. Severe weather could break tree limbs and topple trees onto power lines and cause electric service interruptions.

More than 100 mutual aid personnel are in route from outside our area to assist in system repairs and service restorations as needed.

Please stay at least 30 feet away from downed power lines and remember that lines may be entangled and hidden in fallen trees and limbs. Residents should also assume all downed lines are live.

Follow Hudson Valley Weather for forecast updates, and visit https://www.cenhud.com/outages/ for preparation tips.

As the first winter storm of the season draws near, we would like to ask for your help. If you have a fire hydrant on or in front of your property please shovel a 3 foot path around the hydrant as well as a path to the street. In the case of a fire, seconds truly matter.
