This one was a process. We didn’t have the bolt pattern template we needed so James had to make one. We did have the customers prop hub so that was helpful. The hub had threaded lugs so we couldn’t use it as a template. It turned out great. 😁
This one is headed out today. Going on a unique plane, a Kelch Welch. 😁
This mahogany beauty is headed out today. This one is going to be guest book for a wedding. 😁 💒 💍
How Propellers are made, even still today in 2026. Some use CNC, but I prefer this. 😁
This one is going to be beautiful. 🥰 How propellers are made.
Had a little accident yesterday with a bolt coming loose, so I get to try again today. Fingers crossed.
A little video of the lathe and some sanding. Sanding takes up the majority of my time, but with a good audio book it goes by fast.
I have posted about this before, but this seem to be one of the more controversial things in the comment section. Each prop gets two cuts. Here you can see the second cut cleaning up that flat spot that everyone likes to point out. Building a prop is a 6 day process and not every video shows every step, but I thought this one really showed a good view of that final clean up cut.
Sometimes I get lucky and the knots cut out. 😁
Scott, this is yours. Still need to balance and finish the ends, but it is a beauty!!!
