Culver Props
We offer quality propellers for homebuilt aircraft, ultralights, gyrocopters and airboats from select
My mother-in-law was telling a coworker about me and the coworker said, “no, you have that wrong, they don’t make propellers out of wood.” 🤣🤣
Honestly, I get that a lot. It is equal parts comical and irritating. Close minded, know it all, people are irritating……..but also gives me a chuckle because I know when I educate them 🤯💁🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Balanced ☺️ sometimes it takes a few hours, sometimes only half an hour.
Mahogany is such a pretty wood. 😍
Shop help. 😁 Drilling the bolt patterns is the only part of the propeller process that I don’t do. My husband is an excellent machinist/fabricator and he enjoys precision work. He turns special bushings on the conventional lathe for me and even makes bolt pattern templates when it is something we have never made before.

Although the majority of my props are airworthy, I have a few that don’t make it.
I often get comments about how I mark my props that are not airworthy. This is the answer, I burn this stamp into the back.

SOLD
60” decorative prop up for sale
She didn’t make the cut for airworthy but she is still absolutely stunning. 🤩
Back at it. Took me awhile to get back to the lathe after Oshkosh. Whoever named “summer break” was crazy, there is no break in summer, we are going full speed here! Lol

Throwback picture, new story.
Last week I had a customer call wanting a prop and price was “no object”. He wanted a big prop to put over his fireplace. I told him I had one - the prop in this picture. I gave him a price and he said “that is too much money for something that hangs on a wall”. 🤷🏼♀️ I looked at my prop and said: That was a close one! You almost ended up where you weren’t appreciated!
