Pictures from this month’s Polished luncheon. I had the opportunity to interview Robyn Breshears, she’s a mentor and someone who I think incredibly high of. It was an honor to have her as our guest speaker!

We had an amazing luncheon last Wednesday with Robyn Breshears. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have her as our speaker. I have a great deal of respect for Robyn. She recruited me to come and work for Arvest almost 7 years ago, later hired me to work on her team and has mentored me over the years. She is full of wisdom and knowledge. Some key take aways from the event are listed below.
- Listen more, talk less!
- Wisdom starts with asking good questions and listening—it’s not about having the right answers, but having the ability to listen.
- Be slow to respond. Know when to pause, especially when emotions are high. Turn to prayer and ask for God’s help.
- Knowledge is not the source of wisdom. We need to seek to understand and know how to apply what we know in the best and most appropriate way for the situation.
- Gaining wisdom at work takes time, patience, vulnerability and humility, as well as a willingness to learn.
- Women are not designed to do it all. Wisdom will help us determine when to say yes, when to ask for help and when the opportunity is for someone else.
I’ve attached a few pictures. More will be uploaded soon.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, Ashley Clontz, Regina Veliz, Jessica Hillman, Jackie Serrano, Diane Higgins, Larra Donaldson and Rachel Corpella for helping with everything. We couldn’t do any of it without you!

Our September luncheon is only 2 and half weeks from today. We would love to have you join us. Our guest speaker will be Robyn Breshears and she will be speaking about leading wisely.
Robyn is the Executive Director of Sales, Service & Support at Arvest Bank. She has been with Arvest for almost 23 years and served in a variety of roles throughout that time. Robyn's teams support many initiatives and work processes for the bank group. She values mentoring young females, leading teams to success and exercising servant leadership. Outside of work, Robyn enjoys spending time with her family (especially those grandbabies), riding motorcycles, reading and traveling.
I'm incredibly excited about having Robyn speak next month. She has been a mentor to me and countless of other women. She is full of wisdom and makes such a positive impact on everyone she comes into contact with! You don't want to miss it. Register today at Northwest Arkansas — POLISHED

We had an amazing time at our Polished luncheon on Wednesday. We are so grateful for Eve and her agreeing to be our speaker this month. Here are some key takeaways aways from the luncheon.
- Leading with enthusiasm is a choice we have to make in every moment and can look different depending on the season.
- When we encourage others, we naturally encourage ourselves.
- Start by holding space for others, listening to tune into what they need.
- Consider how you want to leave the other person before engaging with them—heard, valued, encouraged, hopeful, etc.—deciding ahead of time will shape how you interact.
- You must take care of yourself in order to pour into others—get enough sleep, physical activity, good food and water, time with the Lord, etc.
- Set healthy boundaries that set you up to be able to give to others and be others-focused.
- Pray first—about what you will say, what decision to make, how to best support the other person.
- You don’t have to have it all together or be perfect to lead with enthusiasm and encourage others. You can give your best.
-Be sure to put on the armor of God every day (Ephesians 6:13-18)
