Museum of the Village of Rockville Centre

Admission is Free. (Donations are greatly appreciated.) Located in The Phillips House, the Museum commemorates the history of Rockville Centre.

Named in honor of Samuel Phillips, who lived in the house with his wife, Marinda and son and daughter, this is a sea captain's house built about 1882. Basically Victorian homes of their day, sea captains' houses were built for retired sea captains by ships' carpenters. At one time, there were dozens of these homes in Rockville Centre, each unique to the family residing there. Some unusual features
