Locks of Love
We are proud to partner with Locks of Love in facilitating the donation of your hair to to provide hair prosthetics to children who lose their hair due to medical illness or treatments.

Update!
Most ten-year-olds rarely put others before themselves. But one of our clients is very special, and at age 10, she decided she wanted to donate “her height in hair” to benefit the children of Locks of Love.

In May of ‘21, our client accomplished just that—Annmarie cut her client’s final donation of 10 inches of hair, putting her donations at just over five feet (60 inches)! That’s a lot of hair and even more goodwill!

“I was thrilled to be part of this, and I think we all can learn from my client’s charitable nature,” said Annmarie, Leonardo’s stylist/colorist and owner, “We are proud to support a great organization, and my client went above, and beyond anything, I would have imagined!”

Annmarie began cutting her client’s hair when her client was six years old, and today, at 21, our client is a Fashion major.

Locks of Love is a a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity and we are proud to help our clients donate their hair to this worthy cause and organization.

To donate hair must be at least 10 inches in length. Lightly processed or colored hair is OK! Once your hair is cut we will take care of the rest which includes preparing, shipping your hair. For more information please call us at 516-536-8746 or email rvcsalon at gmail.com

It’s finally here!!!
We are ready for June 10th!!!

Please take a moment to read our guidelines:

PLEASE CALL WHEN YOU HAVE ARRIVED for your appointment.

*We will be limiting the amount of clients in the salon at one time.

*Clients are asked to come alone unless they need a person to assistant them such as an aid.

*Face coverings must be worn to enter the salon and during your service.

*Hand sanitizer will be available at the front desk. We ask you would use upon entering. It will also be provided throughout the salon.

*We will be disinfecting the salon on a regular basis. After each client : chairs,countertops, sinks and frequently touched areas. We will be following a strict cleaning schedule during the day and after hours.
Stylist will also be required to be wearing face covers and will be washing and/or sanitizing their hands in between clients.

*We missed you all very much and would love to hug you as you walk in BUT for now we must practice social
distancing... it won’t be forever 😊

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update. We are all getting very excited. As of right now our scheduled opening date is June 10th. 😀😀

Phase 1 though. But 2 weeks after phase one starts we WILL REOPEN.

Hi Everyone!!!

Just want to check in and say “hello”
I hope everyone is well and being safe. It is looking like we will be shut down through the end of April. We are all upset about it but we need to do the right thing and stay in ... flatten the curve. We will definitely re-open when the state lets us.
We are reaching out to clients to reschedule any appointments you have in April. We are here for you!! If you have any concerns or questions please call the salon. We are constantly checking the messages.
So let’s all do the right thing ... we can’t wait to see you all again !!!!!

So I’m sitting watching tv on only my 2nd day off from work ( officially ) .. 5 days after we were shut down. I’m a small business owner for only 7 years but in the business for 32. This is my life ... my work is my love. Going to work to me is not work it’s seeing my extended family.... my coworkers .. my clients. I truly enjoy what I do.
It’s heart breaking to me that this is happening. What’s happening with this virus and with the businesses that might not be able to survive this.

I started writing this a couple days ago and had to stop. Its very emotional for me....as for many.
I guess what I like to say is be positive, do the right thing, help others and yourself to stay safe and heathy. Support your friends and local businesses that are still open and fighting to keep their business.
In the end we all need each other.
BELIEVE...... believe that this will get better ... that we will get through this.
I give thanks to all the Drs and nurses that are fighting for us all.
Be positive and just BELIEVE!
