Why was my wife's credit card used to order acrylic paint and metal shelves to your address?
Has anyone ever had the issue of ordering doors from Pella and have their salesperson NOT RESPOND after placing the order over 7 months ago????? I've come to my limit with this company!
Would someone please send me a private message with Corporate contact information? I am in need of replacing a few of the now defunct, between the glass shades. I tried the website, but kept getting looped back to the same old crap. The blinds were outrageous when they were being sold, but now.... I can't even replace them????? Come on.

I am in need of assistance with an old (20+ years) sliding patio door that has become very difficult to slide open and slide closed. I have tried cleaning and oiling the accessible parts of the tracks (top and bottom), both inside and outside with both WD-40 and 3-in-1 oil. The lubrication does not seem to have worked. I think/believe there must be something stuck inside the upper or lower track (or both) that is causing the door to be hard to move in either direction, but I do not know how to repair that type of problem. It is possible that a service call will be needed unless Pella can provide information that might help me fix the door myself. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Brendan Maher
Excellent product!
BUYERS BEWARE OF SCAMMING PELLA!!! I hired Pella out of Tinley Park to do installation of Front Entry and Storm door, and Back Entry and Storm door to my house. The sales person Mark Scherf explained everything in detail, took notes and measurements of the entry ways as well. He pointed out to me that the back door was in pretty bad shape, and so I told him I agreed and you can tell it's bad because the door isnt hanging square, you could see to the outside in the corner. There is also a crack from the top of the interior framing going up towards the ceiling that I pointed out to my sales person. He didn't seem concerned. After a while we agreed to a price and got our contract signed. He told me the installation price I would be paying is about $2,600 BECAUSE Pella "pays our professional Pella Installers more money than any other company, so that's why installation is so high. You get Professional Pella Installers." I was soon to realize that his explanation of what installers I got was a tactic to rationalize their over priced installation costs. Moving forward, a project manager came out and inspected my home, took measurements to be sure, looked at my entry ways and again, this "professional" failed to notice the poor condition of my back doors and failed to think there may be some deeper issue to why my door isn't hanging flush. He proceeded to approve the installation and set up a date with me to have the work done. I was told the complete installation would be done on the 19th of November. On the day of the 19th, the installers arrived first thing in the morning, and after introductions they proceeded to tell me there's an issue already. Not even 10 minutes after arriving and for 7,200, there was an issue 10 minutes in. They said the back doors are supposed to be installed but they don't have them in their truck because the exterior trim was supposed to be pre-finished by Pella. (the pre finished exterior trim is something Pella doesn't do standard like any door company would, they charge an additional $400 to apply paint to the trim. I got them to do that for free.) Anyways I reached out to Mark and he promptly told me to call the Project Manager Department. Otherwise the installers told me they'd be coming back a different day to do the back (which isn't what was agreed upon or mentioned in the contract.) I called and was told the doors would be delivered to the installers later on in the day and be done today. Feeling relieved, I allowed the installation to continue. About half way through with the Front doors, 1 of the installers started working on the back door and prepping that. He took my storm door off, and then removed all the exterior trim only to reveal there was minor wood rot surrounding the door. The contractor immediately made this a huge deal and said this is a major home project that needs to be done and the expense is unknown of what it'd take to get done. It was at this point that I realized this guy was not a "Professional Pella Installer" but a Sub-contractor Pella hired. The $2,600
I paid Pella for professionalism was just pocketed by them. The sub contractor then had the audacity to try and solicit me to pay him additional money, outside what pella paid him for this job, to come back on a Friday and do the frame work out of pocket to me, and seperate of Pella. Some Professionalism huh? I refused this offer, and after about an hour it was clear the back door wasnt going to be done whatsoever. The guys then finished my front door at about quarter to 1. It took 2 guys about 5 hours to install an entry door and storm door. The guys then began cleaning up the front. This was the quickest part, as they repeatedly told me they had another job to get too. They informed me that they were missing a part for my screen door, and theyd be back at a later date to install that part. They briefly explained the storm door functioning and then took off. They left in such a hurry one guy forgot his sweatshirt on my front yard, and they didn't clean up ANYTHING at all in the back. They left the floor protecting cardboard they put down, all the rot they pulled out was left scattered, nails and screws all over my Patio. I had to clean this up so my dog wouldn't get injured because of their careless abandon. The contractors also tried getting me to take possession of my back doors and leave them in my garage.I tried reaching my sales person who couldnt be contacted by his boss, the office, myself or the contractors. I didn't hear from him until 4pm. Over the next day I was only in contact with my sales rep once. He said he can offer me $400 worth of pella covered repair, which is what the contractors are estimating it to be, but anything else after that would be out of pocket to me. I refused and said per the contract you are liable for the repairs not me. He disagreed and when I mentioned the contractors and how he promised Professional Pella Installers he said "Steve, you're getting into Semantics here. Thats semantics. They are Pella Certified contractors!" However that isnt what I paid $2,600 for. Today I heard from his boss Dave. I told Dave a different salesman at that office promised a coworker of mine that if any issues arose during his window installation it'd be done at no additional cost to him. Dave dismissed this as an egregious mistake on the salespersons part and assured he'd resolve that promise made to my coworker. I told him my neighbor is a Union Retired Carpenter and I had him inspect the rot, he laughed and said this amount of work would cost maybe $500 dollars all together after materials and labor from a Union Carpenter, and that it would take about 2 hours for 1 Union Carpenter to fix and install everything. I told Dave this and he insisted that they aren't trying to nickel and dime me. He now said my only 2 options are that I take the doors, that they wont install, and hire a seperate company to repair the rot issue, and then have pella come back to install. OR pay Pella whatever they want (they haven't given me their price of the damage and refuse to do so) to fix the issue and then install the door. I told him since they are breaching the contract by not cleaning up, not fully installing my front storm door, I want a refund for the back door and storm door, and installation for the back as well. He said they will absolutely under no circumstance refund me the money for the doors and installation. I told Dave he would be in touch with my Lawyer then. Please beware of Pella. They will overcharge you on EVERYTHING and then look for any reason to charge you additionally. These guys are worse than a guy on craigslist with no experience offering to do your home project excpet they over charge about 300% what other companies do. DO NOT USE PELLA WHATSOEVER.
