FIRE INVESTIGATOR CERTIFIED: Congratulations to Firefighter / Paramedic Victoria Viel for completing the Office of the State Fire Marshals Fire Investigator Program. This 120 hour class is designed as the foundational level of education and training for fire and arson investigators. The course includes the following topics: Basic fire science, fire patterns, building systems, electricity and fire, fuel gas systems, fire related human behavior, legal considerations, safety, sources of information, planning the investigation, Documentation of the investigation, physical evidence, origin & cause determination, analyzing the incident for cause and responsibility, failure analysis and analytical tools, explosions and incendiary fires, fire and explosion deaths and injuries, appliances, motor vehicle fires, wild fire investigations, management of complex investigations and marine fire investigations (IFSI course description). We are proud of her accomplishments and grateful to have her as a vital part of our fire family. Thank you, Victoria, for your hard work and dedication to our community.

The Serapeum of Saqqara, an ancient Egyptian necropolis near Memphis, is notable for its impressive subterranean tombs.

Constructed during the 19th Dynasty of the New Kingdom (around 1300 BCE), it features a series of large, rock-cut tunnels and chambers.

The main tunnel, known as the "Gallery," extends approximately 100 meters (328 feet) in length and is about 8 meters (26 feet) wide.

The tombs within are colossal, each carved from solid granite and housing massive granite sarcophagi weighing up to 100 tons.

The precise engineering and scale of the Serapeum make it a remarkable example of ancient Egyptian architecture and engineering..

The Blythe Intaglios (California) consist of more than 200 figures, including human-like figures, animals, and geometric shapes, spread over a vast area of approximately 10 square miles (26 square kilometers). The drawings were created by removing dark desert rocks and exposing the lighter soil underneath, forming lines and shapes that can be seen from the air or from elevated viewpoints.

The figures vary in size, with the largest measuring over 170 feet (52 meters) in length. The designs are thought to have been made between 200 BC and 900 AD by the indigenous people who inhabited the region. The exact purpose and meaning of the geoglyphs remain a mystery, as there are no written records or oral traditions explaining their origin or significance.

Last night we got to celebrate 4 of our members for graduating paramedic school. For the last year of their lives they have spent countless hours studying and completing clinical hours. Strong work! Congratulations Jake Schiro, Jake Watson, Andrew Helser, and Nathan Moyer!
