This is another interesting service that I was looking at for my company a while back. You can request a free demo, which I did, and see if it's for you, but in a nutshell, it puts all the details of your trips into the pocket of your clients in the form of a custom-branded app, including the itinerary, local weather, reminders and much more. I thought it was very interesting but not quite right for my company, at least at the time, but it may be worth a half-hour of your time to see if it's right for yours. I'll probably revisit it after the first of the year.

When you travel somewhere that you aren't supposed to drink the water, how long does it take you to know that it's safe to do so at home?

TOT creator Ralph Velasco was gone for 2.5 months in India, Cambodia and Sri Lanka, places you aren't supposed to drink the water, and 3 weeks later he's still hesitant when he goes to brush his teeth or walk up to a drinking fountain. That said, it's typically when he's at a hotel or in an airport, or some other public place, but now he's domestic in the U.S. and still recovering from "hmmm, can-I-drink-the-water" syndrome.

What's your experience?

Travel Tip: Be sure to get out early, and stay out late, in order to avoid the tourist crowds, get better light for your photography, it's usually cooler at these times in warmer climates. You're also more likely to see the locals on their way to work, and the kids on their way to school.

Early and late in the day are also usually great times to avoid bugs, and more importantly, thieves and petty crime, because they're home in bed waiting for the tourists to show up!
