I highly encourage everyone to experience this amazing collection of art on exhibit at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center. I am honored to have two pieces of my photography in the large collection.

There is a public reception on October 27th from 6-8pm - you won’t want to miss meeting many of the artists!

Our Retrospective Art Exhibit celebrating 15+ Years opens this Friday, October 8th in our FAC gallery. Hours to view exhibit are Monday-Friday 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Free to the public.

Since opening in 2004, the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center’s Artist-In-Residence (A.I.R.) and Exhibit program has offered artists, students, community members, educators and art lovers a unique opportunity to share in the talents of emerging and established local artists through exhibits, workshops, gallery walks and other events. When the Covid-19 pandemic brought nationwide shutdowns in mid-March 2020, we were forced to close our facility and our gallery has been empty since then. We are excited to bring the arts back with this Retrospective Exhibit which includes over seventy participating artists from our first fifteen plus years and recognizes the significance of the arts in our community. With the number of different artists participating, there will surely be something for everyone. The exhibit will include paintings, clay, wood, paper, fabric, metal and many other mediums. The art scene in West Michigan is vibrant and strong and the Fine Arts Center is proud to be part of it.

I went out in search of Northern Lights on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020. They didn't happen, but the skies above the Little Sable Lighthouse were crystal clear and magical!

What I found really interesting is - despite being taken at 12:30am, the camera still could pick up the ambient "sunset" light on a 30-second exposure.

Blessed to have the chance to share images with the Dominican Sisters Grand Rapids for their online publication. Thank you for the opportunity.

“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind." Job 12:7-10
