International Tuba Day is May 1st
5 PM for quick rehearsal in the Kmart parking lot at SE 9th St and 3rd Ave.
Don't worry....You'll find us...we will have our tubas out.
First stop 6 pm:
Los Ninis - its a red taco truck at 9th st and broadway. Their nacho plate is amazing and very affordable.
6:45-7 pm arrival:
Taqueria El Kora 1432 3rd Ave SE
7:45-8 pm arrival
Tacos Barajas 1704 3rd Ave SE
Please invite friends to meet you at the stops. Eat tacos with friends. This winter has been hard for the food trucks hoping we can boost business for the night.
Tubas and Tacos is May 1st. It’s how we celebrate international tuba day in Rochester.
I’m working on the food truck route. Let me know if you have a favorite taco stand.

LSU's 66-year-old freshman band member Kent Broussard is the perfect example of that. After retiring two years ago, Broussard set out to join LSU's band - a lifelong dream of his since he saw the Tiger Marching Band in person years ago.
Kent became an accountant and started a family, thinking he probably would never get to live out his lifelong dream.. until he retired and decided now was the perfect time!
Broussard had forgotten everything about playing the tuba after learning many years ago and trained for his audition, competing with those who are 40 years younger than he is. He didn't expect to make the cut, but he ended up getting through, and now he's the oldest member of the LSU band by 41 years 😅
When asked about the process, Kent said "The only thing you can do is fail. Your only failure is not trying." - and he's absolutely right 🙌
