Matt joined GreenSpark Solar in November 2024 as an entry-level installer and quickly became an invaluable member of the crew, bringing his energy and passion to every job site.

Outside of work, Matt is all about family adventures. Whether it's skiing in the winter, gardening in the spring, or heading to the beach in the summer, he's always looking for the next memory to make together.

This World Environment Day, we wanted to recognize some of the people behind the work. Our crews are out on rooftops and in fields pushing hard to bring renewable energy systems online to power homes, businesses, and communities more sustainably for a cleaner, greener planet. 💚

If you've been following along with our updates on the ASAP Act... here's the latest!⚡

New York finalized its FY2027 State Budget last week, and it included several important investments and reforms that support the continued growth of rooftop solar, community solar, and energy storage across the state.

Highlights include:

☀️ $200 million in new funding for the NY-Sun program

🔌 New efforts to improve interconnection transparency and grid flexibility

💡 Continued focus on lowering costs and delivering affordable energy solutions for New Yorkers

These investments represent a meaningful commitment to expanding access to clean energy, lowering utility costs, supporting local jobs, and building a more resilient grid.

We're grateful to the legislators, local leaders, and clean energy champions (including many of our customers, peers, and partners!) who helped advance these priorities. The work isn't done, but this is PROGRESS. 💪☀️⚡

One of our grazing partners (Jenny with Fire Bird Land & Forest Products) shared this adorable pic and an update: 15 babies were born this past week at one of our NY agrivoltaic sites. Look at how proud that mama is. 🐑💚🥹
