In my travels, I’ve found that certain people are more open to the gospel than others. But identifying who will be receptive isn’t always easy. Because I never know how things are going to play out, I just share the Word of God as often as possible and invite everyone to come to Christ.
The apostle Paul used a similar strategy. The book of Acts tells us that he received three reactions to the gospel when he preached it: “And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, while others said, ‘We will hear you again on this matter.’ . . . However, some men joined him and believed” (Acts 17:32, 34 NKJV).
Two thousand years later, those three reactions to the gospel are still pretty common.
When you’ve lost someone you love, the pain can be overwhelming. There are moments when you find yourself thinking, “I’ll never see them again.”
But let me share something that can bring real hope.
If your loved one put their faith in Jesus Christ, they are not gone. They are very much alive in the presence of God right now. And if you too have placed your faith in Christ, your goodbye is not forever. It is only temporary.
The Bible teaches that death is not the end for the believer. Heaven is real. Eternal life is real. And one day, we will be reunited with those who have gone before us in faith.
That truth has brought comfort to countless people—including me.
Watch this video as I explain what the Bible says about life after death, Heaven, and the hope we have in Christ. It may change the way you think about loss, grief, and eternity.

Today at my son Jonathan will be speaking.
I’ve watched Jonathan grow from a tender-hearted little boy into a mature man of God, and nothing could make a father more proud. The Apostle John wrote, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” (3 John 1:4) \That perfectly expresses how I feel.
Over the years, Jonathan has also developed into a thoughtful and insightful expositor of Scripture. In a time when there can be so much emphasis on style, trends, and presentation, we need a new generation of preachers who are deeply rooted in the Word of God. We need less trendiness and more biblical substance. Thankfully, there are some out there, but we need many more.
I believe Jonathan is part of that emerging generation of expositors s and I’m excited for you to hear him. Join us tomorrow at Harvest and come hear one of the young voices God is raising up for such a time as this.

The harsh reality is this: If you’re going to be used of God, then you’re going to be attacked. If you live as a real Christian, you will find yourself at odds with the world around you. You’ll face opposition, some of it intense. Think of suffering as a spiritual badge of honor. In fact, if you don’t experience at least occasional suffering or hardship in your life, you might want to examine your Christian walk.
And keep this in mind: The life that Christ offers is well worth any hardship.
I appreciate the commitment of in his role as Sheriff of Riverside County. It’s an enormous responsibility—overseeing thousands of employees—and he has led with excellence and integrity. His personal faith in Jesus Christ clearly influences both his leadership and his service.
In this recent interview, Chad shared the story of Deputy Isaiah Cordero, a courageous law enforcement officer who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving his community. His story is a powerful reminder of the bravery, dedication, and selflessness of those who put themselves in harm’s way to protect others.
This interview is well worth watching.
What happens to us as believers when we die? We go straight into the presence of God. The apostle Paul wrote that when we are “away from these earthly bodies . . . then we will be at home with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8 NLT).
There’s no waiting period or shipping delays. The moment our time on earth ends, our time in God’s presence begins.
That’s why Paul wrote, “For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better. But if I live, I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don’t know which is better. I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live” (Philippians 1:21–24 NLT). He wanted to continue his work on earth, but the thought of Heaven was irresistible. Think Heaven!

Though some are gifted to be an evangelist, and some may not be called to be an evangelist per se, every Christian is called to evangelize.
As Paul said to Timothy, “Do the work of an evangelist” (2 Timothy 4:5 NKJV). We’re all called to preach the gospel.
We’ve been entrusted with the Great Commission—to go into all the world, preach the gospel, and make disciples of all nations, teaching them all things that Christ has commanded us...
