Well…we didn’t hear our name called this weekend at Up In Smoke’s first
Rib Cook Off Association World Championship cook-off in Shawnee, OK—but we’re walking away proud and grateful.

Out of some tough competition, we placed:

🍖 36th overall in ribs

🍗 45th in wings

🥩 17th in steaks (our FIRST time ever entering steak!)

Not too bad for our first World Championship competition!

This weekend was about more than numbers, though. We learned new things, met some incredible people, and had an absolute blast doing what we love. Every cook and every conversation made us better.

Most importantly, we’re thankful. Thankful to the Lord for safe travels, steady hands, and this opportunity. Thankful for our amazing supporters and sponsors who stand behind us every step of the way. And thankful that our team and our families made it safe.

We’re taking what we learned and coming back stronger. The fire’s still burning 🔥—this is just the beginning.

Big news from the team…we’ve officially lost our minds 🔥🥩

As if ribs and wings weren’t enough, we’ve decided to throw steak into the mix this weekend—for the first time ever. That’s right, we’re adding a whole new category to the chaos!

Ribs? Check. Wings? Check. Steak? …we’re about to find out 😅

We figured “how hard can it be?” and now we’re fully committed. So if you see us running around a little extra stressed… no you didn’t.

We’ve rolled into Shawnee, Oklahoma and are officially in town for the Rib Cookoff Association World Championships this weekend!

The team is ready to go head-to-head with some of the best barbecue cooks in the country. It’s been a long road getting here, but we’re proud, fired up, and ready to put in the work.

Another winning BBQ weekend in the books! 🔥

We brought home 1st place in wings and 6th place in ribs, and couldn’t be more proud of the team and the hard work that went into it.

Even better, we had the opportunity to cook and compete while supporting an amazing cause — the Desoto County Dream Center in Olive Branch. It’s always a blessing to do what we love while giving back to a community that’s making a real difference.
