One Voice of Hunterdon is a prevention agency focused on reducing substance misuse and promoting mental health among adolescents and young adults in Hunterdon County. The mission of One Voice is to bring together law enforcement and community partners with our faith communities in order to have “one voice” to address:
-Substance misuse prevention & recovery, especially for youth
-and other pressing issues that affect the health and safety of our community.
On June 8th, One Voice held their bi-monthly Coalition Steering Committee meeting. 💙 A big Thank You to Brayden Fahey from the Hunterdon County Office of Emergency Management for an insightful look at the preparations for large events in our county and state. 🙏 In anticipation of the World Cup, we appreciate the foresight and amount of coordinated effort in planning and the importance of prevention. ⚽️ As World Cup parties will be taking place, One Voice along with our partners are focusing on preventing underage drinking, working together to encourage adults to monitor and secure alcohol in their home. 🔐 Thanks to all of our business partners, liquor stores and restaurants for their help in spreading the word! 🤝

Thank you to the Islamic Center of Hunterdon County for inviting One Voice to participate at EID CARNIVAL on June 6th! ☪️ We met so many wonderful families, where kids and adults alike talked about coping skills for stress, made beautiful calming jars, and enjoyed the festivities! 💙 As always, we thank ICHC for their warm welcome and collaborative nature and look forward to continued prevention events together! 🤝

One Voice and Owlbert were on hand to support the Readington HSA at an AMAZING Color Run event on 5/31! 🏃 We had a great time connecting with families at our table, where we had interactive activities for the kids like creating colorful calming jars, breathwork with pinwheels and jump-roping, all great stress relievers! 💙 Runners had the chance to stop by and get a One Voice visor and a snack before the run, and our mascot, Owlbert, made a special appearance as well! 🦉 He handed out BE A BUDDY NOT A BULLY frisbees, and lots of hugs along the way! 🫂 It was a wonderful opportunity to support our community, connect with local families, and spread awareness about One Voice and our mission! 🤝

Today we honor Open Cupboard Food Pantry & Thrift Shop, a staple in Hunterdon County providing food to over 400 families a month. 🍲 One Voice was honored to participate in the 1st Annual Golf Outing and celebrate the organization's commitment to serving individuals and families throughout our community. 💙 In collaboration with One Voice, Open Cupboard promotes positive prevention and mental health messaging at their location. 🙏
