4 pink beads wasn't quite enough so I made 3 more yesterday

A little more time on beads yesterday since it was too hot for big marbles. I didn't make very many because they are quite detailed and it takes a long time to make each one.

The guy I learned fumed marbles from emphasized that with fume "less is more." But I think sometimes, more is more.

As you saw yesterday, I'll be teaching a couple "bead experience" classes soon, but I haven't made many beads lately. So yesterday I did some practice. Love the new CIM katydid green that Angela was kind enough to pick up at Glasscraft for me. I haven't found it in stock anywhere or I'd buy more!

I have some classes coming up at BARN this month and next. Including several for people who have never even lit a torch before!

I have a lot of unfinished projects around here. And some projects in need of repair. And some projects that just...aren't right and need to get reworked. Here is the first one of them, finished yesterday after having some pieces added and changed around!

Normally this is the weekend I would go to Pollack Glass Studio & Gallery for class with Kevin O'Grady Art Glass. Since I couldn't make it this year, I made my own Kevin inspired art at home. I've been wanting to make this piece for months now but all the prep took forever!! The next one needs even more murrini slabs, but it will take me a while to get that many polished up. Sadly the photos and video don't come out nearly as well as what the marble looks in person, especially the blues and greens from the gold and silver fume. I may have to take it to the photo tent at BARN to see if that helps.

Finally had a chance to make something with the latest murrini, and still making things with the previous murrini too. Trying out new colors for the backgrounds as well.
