Live every day as if the Son of Man were at the door, and gear your thinking to the fleeting moment. Just how can it be redeemed? Walk as if the next step would carry you across the threshold of Heaven.
~Jim Elliot, Shadow of the Almighty
Ephesians 5:15-16 NIV
"Be very careful, then, how you live --- not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."

ARE WE BEING RUDE
There are alot of discussions on being rude & missing out on time with others due to our smart phones. Something further to consider this Sunday:
As we go to church, it is time to prepare our hearts for worship, to bask in the presence of God, to pray in the name of Jesus that we hear what He would speak to us today. If this is truly our desire, how is it that throughout service people get on their phones checking messages, FB, texting, etc. Unless you are on call for work or there is an urgent need going on, can't you just turn your phone off for time with God & unite with those who have gathered to worship? For years, we did not have phones that made us readily accessible 24 hrs & we survived. I remember as a youth, if we passed notes, the usher or pastor would tell us to put them away. Do we need that now as adults, really? What if we allowed ourselves to be just as accessible to God & felt that pit in our stomach full of desire for more of Him like we do when we lose our phones. If you are headed to church with your phone & your Bible laying on the counter and you can only take one with you, which would it be? I know some of you are saying, "I use my phone for both with an app"; whereas, you are getting away from the issue. Although to touch on this point, there is something precious about holding the Word of God in your hand & turning through the pages. It also allows you to know the sequence of the books as you turn from one to the other, as well as see cross-reference in the sidebar. I am not condemning those who use an app, but the experience is so different.
I know how it is to be with someone where their phone has more attention than I do. I know that I have half way listened to others while I have continued using my phone in their presence. We must ask ourselves, in addition to these actions with others, am I being rude to God?

Life sometimes tears us down, but set your eyes on Jesus. He builds us up every time. Have a blessed day!

I had a wonderful time with our BAW Board of Directors on Saturday as we discussed 2022~Being A Woman's 20th Year! We are prayerful & full of anticipation for an amazing year of ministry, with a special event each quarter! It has been such a blessing gathering with wonderful Christian sisters over the years, doing ministry with an array of anointed speakers, and being in the midst of life-changing worship. We are looking forward to more times together & meeting more women joining us.
I celebrate you every day..."for you are fearfully & wonderfully made" (Ps.139:14). May God's love shine upon you & follow in His footsteps as He guides you daily.
Blessings,
Melinda Wilson

Meet Me In The Meadow by Roy Lessin

When we wait for someone, our minds are focused on their absence . . . On the absence of the person we await. They are constantly on our mind even though we cannot see them.
French philosopher, Jean Paul Sartre, used this analogy to describe how many people think about God. In His seeming absence, God becomes more present.

A dream shared by one of our former BAW women's conference speakers, Cheri Taylor.
It was a dream I’ll never forget! I can’t tell you where I was, whom I was with, or how many were there with me! The air around me was white, like a feathered cloud mixed with the color of a softly swirled pearl. I saw no faces, except for the side profile of one who had dark hair and a gentle smile. Male or female, I don’t know. This one never spoke, but I clearly remember him/her gently leaning on my chest with a hand over my heart.
Even though I saw only one, I heard a multitude of others all around me. There was urgency in their voices telling me to quickly get dressed and ready to go as if I were going to be late! However, I never moved–I remember simply standing with my arms stretched out to the side while one of them dressed me for wherever it was that I was supposed to go!
Jolted from sleep, I found myself in distress! What was I going to be late for? Those who know me are well acquainted with the fact that I do not like to be late–for anything! If I’m fifteen minutes early, I’m on time! If I arrive precisely at the time given, I’m late–seriously late! I’m also a reasonable person and understand that we all have our moments when life happens and for whatever reason, we fall behind!
However, this dream wasn’t about the everyday stuff of life and its worries. I believe it was a wake-up call to be urgently about the Fathers business–sharing the Gospel–because time is short! If we claim the name of Christ this should be a burden each of us carries emblazoned on our hearts and in our souls. This causes me to wonder; could that possibly be why the one who leaned on my chest rested a hand on my heart?
Jesus said “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man be. (Matthew 24:36-39 NJKV)
Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Matthew 24:44 (NKJV)
He who testifies of these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Rev 22:20 (NKJV)
True ministry isn’t always played out on the public stage, but in the seemingly mundane, everyday walks of life. Every person we meet or simply pass on the street has a soul in need of a Savior and will one day stand before the LORD to give an account of him or herself. When that day comes, will you be ready to meet Jesus? What if it were today?
I am Redeemed,
Cheri

It's a boy!!!

"Let me remind all women that we live longer and better lives when we have sisters we love, not necessarily born in our bloodline or of our race. Sisters."
