From the League of Women Voters to the local NAACP chapter, from the New Castle Memorial Day Parade to the Wayne County 4 H Fair. I’ve enjoyed everything from the Spiceland Freedom Parade to Jubilee Days in Hagerstown and Archway Days in Centerville. I’ve visited the New Castle City Council and the Brookville Tractor Show…the list goes on!
We’ve visited Hoosiers at 16 house parties 🏡 and 15 fairs 🎟, walked in 7 parades🚶, been to 7 political events 🎤, enjoyed 13 charity fundraisers/cultural events 🎉, listened to teachers at 4 educator “meet and greets” 👨🏫,and walked door to door in Richmond, New Castle, and Hagerstown 🚪. Are we tired? Maybe a little. Are we ready to serve this district in 2023? Absolutely.
AND, of course, I thoroughly enjoyed a ribeye sandwich from the Wayne County Beef Cattlemens' Association. It was delicious! I appreciate their support of projects that benefit local agriculture. Keep up the good work. 🙌

Dear Friends,
Most of the 2022 Fairs are history but a few great Fairs are still to come.
It’s time for each Fair to nominate an individual for the “Hall of Fame” award. These are the individuals
that have served their Fair and community in an exemplary manner. I believe every fair board has at
least one of these persons who is worthy of the honor.
Please go on line and find the application and rules. It is fairly simple. Turn the application in by the
December 1.2022 deadline. They may be sent to my email address which is:
[email protected] phone 219-242-3104
One applicant from each of the four districts will be selected for the honor. Every Fair is eligible to
submit one candidate If your fair nominated an individual in 2021 and they were not selected, they are
automatically given consideration in 2022. If they were not selected the second year, then to be
considered again, they must re-apply.
Thank you and good luck to all. You may call if you have questions.
Denny Steinhilber
Hall of Fame Committee Chairman

Happy 4-H New Year!!!! Let’s kick it off right with some reenrollments/new enrollments! Join us now at https://v2.4honline.com. 💚🍀

Without adult volunteers, our program would not be possible. We have found ourselves in need of passionate, dedicated, and positive adults who can help lead efforts in 3 different clubs:
1. Sharp Shooters (Shooting Sports)
2. Webster Wonder Workers
3. A brand new club (yet to be named) that will be based at the Dwyer Community Center in Richmond, IN.
If you are 18+ years old and have a few hours a year to give back to the youth in our community, we would sure appreciate you! We will help you through the process of becoming an Indiana 4-H volunteer and then ensure that you are "set up for success!"
If interested, please reach out to Alicia at 765-973-9281 or [email protected]. You are also welcome to send a Facebook message to this page.
Thank you for your consideration! 💚🍀
