The Good Table Cafe

Want to turn collective energy into action? Join Indivisible West Contra Costa County team to write postcards to politicians and citizens Wednesday June 24th, from 2:00 – 3:30 PM! We’ll be gathering on the sunny patio at The Good Table Cafe (enter right through the Planting Justice gate for the quickest path to the tables). Come hang out, write with us, or just swing by to grab a packet to write at home!

Bring your own postcard stamps (or buy some there!) and a cash donation ($5/100 cards minimum) to help cover printing costs.

Thank you to the full house at the West County Forum last week. Melinda V. McLain spoke about how The Good Table United Church of Christ and The Good Table Cafe have been helping decrease social isolation and build community resilience through hiring local, offering diverse programs in our new gathering space, and our pay-what-you can model in the Cafe.

We are about to celebrate our 6 month anniversary! How can I even list the joys and relationships we have found?

As we move forward, I must ask that we protect our friends and neighbors who create for our cafe market. We display handmade items from 25 local friends! Please help us by supervising your children, limit product handling, avoid opening containers, using cosmetics, removing items from displays and playing with toys. Help us keep good relations with our vendors!

Yes this is a cinnamon roll. Oh we make it fresh here daily! Is it amazing? Why yes, yes it is. (Cream cheese frosting makes it magic my friend!)
