Today I received the sweetest email from a client which made my day. Designing a beautiful and functional kitchen is something we take very seriously, and our client Mary summed up that importance very well!
"Nancy, as I’m prepping for Thanksgiving today, I’m reflecting on how much I enjoy my kitchen and how grateful I am for your design and Kyle’s wonderful craftsmanship. I have been doing a lot of baking and trying new recipes during lockdown, and it gives me pleasure every day to work in such a wonderful space!
My prayers go out to you and your family for a very blessed holiday season. - Mary"
Thank you Mary - It was our pleasure to work with you and your husband!

This beautiful Brookhaven kitchen was installed in a new home on one of Rhinelander’s premier crystal clear lakes. Amenities include cabinets and moldings up to the 9’ ceiling, granite countertops, marble subway tile, Wolf range top and many storage features. This timeless design enchances the homeowner’s daily living experience in a very positive way.

This was a challenging project in Irma, WI. The cottage had been added on to several times over the years, 7' high celing, and many things not to code. The remodel is pretty impressive!

Have you ever tried to make homemade Butternut Squash Soup? It's easier than you think, and the soup can be used as a base to add anything you desire; rice, beans, chicken, vegetables. The recipe calls for transferring the cooked squash into a blender, but considering how hot the liquid is, we find an emersion blender works better and is safer. The result? Just a pot of golden goodness!!
BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP
1 2--3 lb. butternut squash peeled and seeded
2 T butter
1 medium onion chopped
3 carrots chopped
3 stalks celery chopped
6 cups chicken broth
Whole nutmeg
Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
After peeling squash, cut into 1" chunks. In large pot melt butter. Add chopped onions, carrots & celery and cook until onion is translucent - about 8 minutes. Add squash and stock; bring to simmer and cook until squash is tender, about 15-20 minutes. When tender, puree with emersion blender in bot. Add freshly grated nutmeg, salt and pepper.
Serves 6

Notes:
We like to add EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil as a substitute for the butter)
To make this Vegan, use the EVOO or Earth Balance to sauté the veggies. Substitute vegetable for the chicken broth.
Enjoy!!
If you are in Rhinelander come and check out two new great restaurants: CT's Deli for fantastic deli lunch menu, and Dominick's Italian Restaurant for your ultimate evening Italian dining experience. Both are excellent choices!

Here's an idea on how to lighten up a room filled with wood - The antiqued and distressed finish on these beautiful cabinets does the trick, and the contrast of the painted wood meeting the stained ceiling is a knock out!
