International Rescue Committee in WA

This afternoon! 3-7p! It's the last week of the Tukwila Village Farmers Market at Cascade View Community Park in Tukwila (14211 37th Ave S, Tukwila, WA 98168) in 2026. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Again, this afternoon from 3-7p! Tukwila Village Farmers Market @ Cascade View Community Park. Come TRIPLE your EBT dollars!

This past Tuesday, we celebrated our citizenship students, citizenship tutors, and the completion of another cohort of Citizenship Classes. Our classes provide civic and English lessons that are tailored for those who are applying for citizenship in the United States. A special shout out must be given to King County Library System and Kent Panther Lake Library for hosting the party and our classes!

Congrats students, tutors, and thank you King County Library System and Kent Panther Lake Library!

Only two more weeks of the Tukwila Village Farmers Market after today. Make sure to make it out before 7p this evening! If not, we'll see you on the 23rd and the 30th at Cascade View Community Park in Tukwila!

Remember that your EBT dollars are worth 3x!

As our most recent cohort of Citizenship Classes is coming to a close, we would like to celebrate one volunteer who has been with us since 2023 as part of a cadre of Citizenship Class volunteers from Beth Shalom Seattle. Mark Benjamin is as dependable as they come, showing up week after week to better prepare green card holders for the momentous step of applying for naturalization. Thank you so much, Mark for playing a critical role in our clients' immigration journeys. We are lucky and appreciative to have you on IRC Seattle's Team.

The U.S. government recently announced changes to funding for programs that have provided specialized legal services to unaccompanied children for decades.

This means that crucial programs like the IRC's Children’s Legal Services are at risk, and kids could be left to represent themselves in immigration court hearings. Without government support the program will run out of funding by October.

Today we went to Starbucks HQ for a coffee cupping and reception because we were nominated 3x for Starbucks Neighborhood Grant! We are so grateful for the nominations and had a lot of fun slurping coffee as we sampled different beans during the cupping experience. Thank you Starbucks!

Tomorrow afternoon, 3-7p at Cascade View Community Park! Come get some locally, sustainably-grown produce. If you use your EBT card, you get a 3x match: $1 of EBT = $3 of produce!
