Today, on Mother’s Day, I honor my amazing mom, Sharron Angle. She is the most noble and tenacious woman I have ever known. She has inspired me to be strong and never give up on what I believe in. She has followed God’s plan for her into the political arena where she has often been ridiculed, criticized and mocked for her faith and morality. Despite the negativity, she never quits and never slows down. God has ignited a fire in her that burns for the constitutional rights our forefathers were inspired to give to all American citizens. She has been a Nevada resident since she was 3 years old. Her parents owned a small motel on Virginia Street in Reno where she and her 3 younger brothers were raised. They all worked there together every day and learned the value of every hard earned dollar. She attended and graduated from Wooster High School and UNR. After her and my dad, Ted Angle, were married they moved to Ely in rural Nevada where I was born. Later we moved to Winnemucca and then to Tonopah where my younger brother and I graduated from high school. They returned to live in Reno in 1995. She served in the legislature where she truly made a difference in spite of her opposition. She knows Nevada. She has traveled the entire state many times to campaign, attend events and walk door to door to meet voters face to face. This has always been very important to her and she has been on the campaign trail again running for Secretary of State. She has made at least a couple dozen trips to southern Nevada in the past few months to connect with voters in Clark County in order to unify the state. There is only one month left before the primary on June 9th and she needs your support! I am calling on everyone who knows her to please donate $25. That’s less than a meal for 2 at any restaurant. She is fiercely committed to making Nevada great again. She will fight for election integrity and voter ID. She will lower the cost of doing business in Nevada. She will end automatic registrations at the DMV and Social Services. She will help clean up the voter rolls and make sure every legitimate vote counts. I believe in my mom’s ability to be a great SoS. I believe in her integrity and determination. She is and has been dedicated to serving the citizens of our great state for decades and will continue to do so for as long as God stokes that fire. Please get out and vote!
