Thank you to Gracie’s family for the beautiful centerpiece! We are so happy she is feeling better!
Hi friends…long time no post. 😂
Hope everyone is enjoying their Summer so far and things are going well for you all.
Just wanted to remind everyone to make sure you call in and let us know if you need your pet’s medications, prescription food, or preventatives soon (especially your flea & tick and heartworm prevention if you are planning a camping trip next week).
The office will be closed on Monday, July 4th so we don’t want you to be out of meds before we reopen on Tuesday.
Have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend friends! ♥️

Help us wish our newest team member a very happy birthday today!!
Happy of all happiest birthdays Darla.
Lately we have been able to work on trying to get surgeries bumped up.
We understand that with as far out as we have had to schedule, you may have ended up calling around to get your animals in sooner at other clinics.
If this is the case, and you haven’t already called us to let us know…please do. We will update that pet’s records in our system and remove you from the surgery schedule.
Thank you so much for your help with this…we appreciate it.
Stay safe and warm friends!
The CVS team.
Calling all cats….we have room on the schedule Friday, April 1st for cat spays or neuters.
Cat must be 6 months of age or older.
Please call the office to schedule your cat. #832-3680
Who feels like baking?
It’s National Black Forest cake day….
This little begger. ♥️
New urns in stock…extra large to small tea light and more necklaces.
We can even transfer your pet’s cremations into the urns should you decide to purchase one. ♥️
This is the company we use for cremation services. ♥️
(An informed client is an amazing client). ♥️
For the safety of our staff we are no longer able to do ‘in-car’ euthanasias.
All pets scheduled for euthanasias will need to be brought inside the Clinic, and also weighed for medication dosage and billing purposes.
If your best friend is having a hard time with mobility, we will utilize the gurney to safely transport them inside.
We do have these appointments Monday-Friday at both noon and 4 pm. We usually have same day availability when you are ready to make the hard, but often necessary decision.
Also, unfortunately we do not have the staffing at this time to be able to do ‘at-home’ euthanasias.
In-home euthanasia may be available to you, based on your location through Lap of Love.
Thank you Fawn!
You spoil us…but we’re here for it! 😂♥️😂
Feliway fans…products are back in stock. Stop in to re-stock, or try it for your cat.
We currently have more technician appointment availability due to some scheduling changes.
Tech appointments are vaccines, a**l gland expressions, and heartworm testing.
If you are interested in moving your appointment up (we are pretty much filled up to the end of March at this time), or want to get a jump on your dog’s heart worm test please give us a call. #832-3680
Stay safe and warm friends!
Thank you Donna & Dave…how incredibly thoughtful of you. ♥️
Happy birthday today to our fandamntastic Practice Manager Jade!!
This gal is amazing…not quite sure how she puts up with all of us. 😂
We just know that the world and the Clinics are both better off with her in them. ♥️
Happy birthday sweets!!
Reminder….a tech appointment is a tech appointment.
We cannot turn a tech appt into a Dr. appointment on the spot.
Timing wise, when you ask us to do this, it would mean pushing every other client out of their scheduled time slot.
Anything that comes up between the time that you schedule a tech appointment (vaccines, TNTs or a**l gland expressions) that requires the Dr., will need a separate visit.
Better yet, please call us to change your tech appointment to a Dr. appointment ahead of time so we can save you a second trip in to the Clinic.
Thank you for your help with this. 😊
Please call the Clinic to schedule appointments, rather than e-mailing us.
This way we can address your needs immediately.
Also, just an FYI...if your pet needs vaccines, a toenail trim or an a**l gland expression, when you call you’ll be asking for a technician appointment. Any other appointment is considered a Dr. appointment and requires a longer time slot.
If you find that new issues have come up that require a Dr. appointment, after you have already scheduled a technician appointment, please call us so we can adjust your appointment as necessary. This way we will be able to provide the appropriate amount of time needed to assess and treat your pet.
Additionally, we do not have walk-in or drop off appointments, we require a phone call prior to your arrival.
Thank you for your cooperation so that we may serve you better.
Please be careful if you need to be out & about today friends. ❄️🥶❄️
(An informed client is an amazing client.) ♥️
Surgery check ins, as opposed to ‘drop offs’…when you schedule your pet for surgery, there is a process for check ins. It isn’t a simple drop off and take off.
First, we verify all your personal information, next we go over the surgical correspondence (Clinic policies, questions about treatment and care while your pet is with us, signatures, etc.).
Then you will see the technician who will draw blood if needed for lab work, clear your pet for the actual surgery and answer any questions you have.
In most cases, your pet will be spending the night, but you can call the office around 2 pm for an update.
All in all, it may take 10 minutes to 45 minutes to get you in and out, depending on the check in order.
Installment #1 in the “FYI” series. 😊

Happy Valentines Day!
The team has been working hard all week for you friends…they are tired, but getting it done like the rockstars they truly are.
We want to let you know how thankful we are for all of you, you make our days better by your actions and sweet words.
To the clients who always plan ahead (looking at you Nashawn), the clients who are incredibly accommodating when we ask for a scheduling favor (that’s you Fawn R), all the clients who were willing to shift their surgeries this week, and even the best little sweet nugget dogs who shared all their love with us this week…Twilight, Nutmeg, Gypse, and (my personal favorite) Holly.
Thank you ALL from the bottom of our hearts. ♥️♥️♥️
Have a wonderful weekend friends. 😊
We do have limited surgery availability this Friday, the 11th for both cat and dog spays and neuters.
If you have a surgery already scheduled and are interested in bumping it up, please call today between 9 am and 2 pm.
Space is limited due to kennel availability and please remember that your pet must be at least 6 months old to be fixed.
Have an amazing day friends! ♥️
The Boss Lady loves us….sometimes we aren’t deserving of it, but are super thankful for unconditional love.
Thank you Dr. Barb! ♥️
…AFTER HOURS (or before hours) PHONE CALLS…TEXTING THE DOCTORS…HIGH VOLUME CALL TIMES…E—MAILS…
Here is how the Clinic phone system works currently:
At the end of each work day, the Clinic phones are transferred to Dr. Barb and Dr. Kevin’s HOME phone.
This means that every time someone calls the Clinic number after hours, that call is immediately routed to their house.
PLEASE limit any after hour calls to ***TRUE EMERGENCIES ONLY***.
Please leave a message…do not hang up and keep trying to call back in an effort to have someone pick up the phone. One detailed message is all you need to leave.
Please save all, All, ALL non-emergent calls for normal business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
Please also remember that there are emergency clinics in the area and that if you have a different primary Vet, you should ALWAYS be calling that practice, as they are familiar with your pets.
Before opening hours…when reception arrives in the morning they do transfer phones back to the Clinic.
This allows Dr. Barb to leave the house without worrying about missing an emergency call.
This does not mean that receptionists are ready to answer routine calls before 8 am each day, as there is work to be done before the day officially begins.
Please also limit before hours calls to ***TRUE EMERGENCIES ONLY ***.
High volume call times…
Surgeries are scheduled on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays each and every week. We may have anywhere from 6 to 10 clients scheduled on each of those days. They are all told to arrive at the same time…8 am. If you call on those days anywhere from 7:45 to 8:30 am your hold time will be incredibly long, which we understand is frustrating. If your call is not an emergency, we’d love to assist you after 8:30 am without making you wait on hold.
Texting Dr. Barb…
If you somehow happen to have Barb’s personal cell phone number, *PLEASE REFRAIN* from texting her throughout the day, and/or texting her repeatedly.
She is operating on or seeing patients all. day. long. This is why she has 5 receptionists who are there to assist you. Please allow her to give other pets her undivided attention like she does with your pet.
E-mails…again, we do not have a dedicated e-mail checker. Please do not e-mail questions or requests. On occasion, a receptionist will *ask* you to e-mail information or possibly pictures of your pet’s issue. In those cases it is the only time we are actively waiting on and checking for your e-mail.
Apologies for the ‘downer’ of a post, just need to let our two Dr.’s get some much needed rest and save you clients some frustration.
As always, THANK YOU for trusting us with your babies. ♥️
