Chronic HOPE
To offer Christian hope, encouragement & joy to those living with chronic illness and their loved ones/friends.
I live with 3 chronic illnesses: endometriosis, Ulcerative colitis, & chronic Lyme disease.

So grateful God IS bigger than my Lyme disease and endometrial pelvic pain! Even though my Lyme is in remission, I’ve been having some difficult days.

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 29:11
When you feel lost or weak or confused, ask him daily, or hourly, what He plans for you for today.
June 8, 2026 🙏
It's easy to look around and wonder if you're falling behind. Someone else seems further ahead. Someone else seems more successful. Someone else seems to have the life you hoped for. But God never asked you to compare your journey to theirs.
He is writing a different story with your life. A different purpose. A different timeline. A different testimony. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11 ❤️
What God has for you has not been lost. What God promised you has not been forgotten. And what God is preparing for you is worth the wait. Trust His timing. Trust His process. Trust His heart. You’ve made it through more than you thought you could. The hard days. The silent battles. The moments where you felt tired, uncertain, or overwhelmed. And through it all... God has still been holding you. So as this month comes to a close, don’t only look at what’s unfinished. Look at the strength God gave you to keep going. 🙏
You are more loved than you realize. More supported than you feel. And never alone. Step into today with a grateful heart. Not because life is perfect, but because God is still faithful. “The Lord is my strength and my shield…” — Psalm 28:7 ❤️ If you need a place to slow down and reconnect with God, our worship playlists and devotionals are linked on our page—created to bring peace and encouragement into your everyday life. From a friend’s post today.
In your weariness, in times when your health fails, on days filled with dread, have faith in God. Talk with Him, and ask Him to be with you, strengthen you, help you in all your weaknesses. He is the source of comfort, reassurance, capability, clarity of mind and purpose.
We face times of doubt, worry, anxiety, and fear, but with our Lord, we do not have to face distress alone. He is always there, providing, lifting our burdens, guiding through the valleys, and encouraging us.
May God bring you peace and calm today as you turn to Him in His word and in prayer. He will listen, answer, enlighten, and be present if you seek, ask, and knock. (Matthew 7:7)
Isaiah 40:28(b) - 31
“The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.”

Although this post is about the effects of Lyme disease, I’m sure it applies to many chronic illnesses.

Silent worries…give them to God.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms who have chronic illness! I know it takes more effort to be a parent when we are sick. Sometimes I felt like a failure because I couldn't be all I could have been had I been well.
BUT....
know they see things in you and are learning lessons you didn't know they are learning.
When you think you are failing them, they see strength and courage. They think you’re a super hero!🦸♂️ They appreciate anything you do.
The compassion they gain is something that can’t be taught, only experienced. They’re learning perseverance by watching you get up each time you’re knocked down.
They’re learning hope as you pray & lean on Jesus for YOUR hope.
Although this is for Lyme disease, it applies to all chronic illness. Say it over & over if you have to…I am NOT a burden.
