There is something incredibly special about walking into a brand-new private practice and feeling the heart behind it immediately. β€οΈ
This week, I had the opportunity to visit **Curious Roots**, founded by the wonderful Sarah, as she opens her doors in Sinking Spring.
As someone who has taken the entrepreneurial leap myself, I know firsthand that opening a business isn't just about creating a careerβit's about creating a life. It's about building something that reflects your values, gives you flexibility for your family, and allows you to serve your community in the way you've always envisioned.
Sarah has created exactly that.
Curious Roots specializes in supporting individuals during life's transitions, neurodiversity, and provides care for ages 6+. She accepts a wide range of insurances and has built such a warm, cozy environment. Kids will instantly gravitate toward the thoughtfully placed fidgets and sensory tools, while adults will immediately feel at ease the moment they walk through the door.
Of course, I brought along my trusted advisor, Anderson, for the visit. We chose the photo with the silliest face because apparently obtaining a serious picture is no longer possible at this stage of parenting. π
It was also wonderful to unexpectedly run into Chloe from the Adalyn Rose Foundation and make meaningful connections with fellow therapists in our community. Days like these remind me how fortunate we are to be surrounded by so many passionate professionals dedicated to helping others.
Congratulations, Sarah, on this exciting new chapter! Wishing you and Curious Roots tremendous success as you continue to grow and make an impact in our community. π±

Your people aren't forgetting their safety training because they're careless. They're forgetting it because of how it was built. π§
Most compliance training is designed to be delivered, not retained. A slide gets shown, a box gets checked, everyone moves on. Then six months later, when it actually matters, the knowledge isn't there. That's not a people problem. It's a design problem.
Three reasons training doesn't stick β and what fixes each:
π― It's passive. People remember what they do, not what they're shown. Practice beats slides every time.
π It has no checkpoint. If someone can advance without proving they understood, you've documented attendance, not competence.
π It's not realistic. Reality is unpredictable. Training that only shows the ideal case falls apart the moment the floor doesn't cooperate.
Fix the design, and retention takes care of itself.
See how we build training that actually sticks π

Most "VR training" is just a slideshow with a headset strapped on. Same passive content, new gimmick. That's not what we did for Olen Corporation. When we partnered with their safety team, we didn't digitize their 320-slide new miner deck. We diagnosed it β the way you'd assess before you ever treat. What's actually not landing? Where do new miners disengage? What has to stick before someone steps onto a floor where the stakes are real? Then we rebuilt it from the ground up:β Diagnose β find what isn't working, and why
β Restructure β rebuild for the medium, not a copy-paste port
β Checkpoint β no one advances without demonstrating they understand
β Retain β training that actually holds when it countsThat diagnostic approach comes straight from our founder Dr. Kryn McClain's background as a licensed clinician. She doesn't build training that looks impressive. She builds training that teaches the way people actually learn and retain. In Scott Roman's words: "She was the brain behind the operation, for sure."That's the difference between buying a tool and gaining a partner. Grateful to the Olen team for trusting us with the work.

This morning's Q3 strategy meeting included our newest executive team member.
Meet our Chief Chaos Officer. π
At 2 years old, his leadership style consists primarily of:
β
Asking difficult questions ("What's that?" x 847)
β
Demanding immediate snacks during meetings
β
Randomly closing my laptop at critical moments
β
Keeping everyone humble
Building a company while raising young children isn't always polished. Some days it's team calls and product demos. Other days it's discussing growth projections while someone in a company t-shirt insists on sitting on your lap.
And honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way.
Entrepreneurship is often portrayed as late nights, hustle culture, and endless grind. But for me, the "why" has always been much simpler: building something meaningful while showing my boys that it's possible to create, innovate, and pursue big ideas.
The days are long, the interruptions are frequent, and the board meetings occasionally involve graham crackers.
But these moments remind me exactly why we're building.
Now, if you'll excuse me, our Chief Chaos Officer has requested another budget review. π

We're proud to share the story of our partnership with Olen Corporation.
Like a lot of operators in mining and aggregates, Olen faced a real challenge: 24 hours of mandatory MSHA new miner training, steady turnover, and a 320-slide PowerPoint that one safety leader had to deliver in person, over and over. Hours off the floor, every cycle.
Working hand-in-hand with Olen's safety team, we rebuilt that entire deck into five focused VR modules β with knowledge checkpoints that make sure comprehension happens before anyone advances. Same trusted message, every plant, every time. And it freed their safety leaders to get back to doing what they do best.
In their words? "Night and day."- Scott Roman, Safety Manager
"She took this 320-slide deck and broke it down into different modules and she just ran with it. It was easy on our end. She was the brain behind the operation, for sure."- Nathan Jackson, Safety Specialist
Huge thanks to the Olen team for trusting us as a partner, not just a vendor. This is exactly the kind of work we're here to do β where training meets technology, for the good of humanity.
Because at the end of the day? We want to help get your people home, to the ones that depend on them where it matters most.

Most training works perfectly...
Until someone is under pressure.
When a machine jams.
When an unexpected hazard appears.
When a new employee has to make a decision in seconds.
When the consequences are real.
The challenge isn't whether your team knows the procedure.
It's whether they can remember it when it matters most.
That's why we build immersive learning experiences that can be deployed in VR.
By combining your existing training protocols, SOPs, and safety procedures with realistic, hands-on scenarios, we help learners practice critical decisions before they face them in the real world.
β
Better retention
β
Higher engagement
β
Safer performance under pressure
β
Training that feels real because it is practiced in context
At the end of the day, our mission is simple:
Help more people get home safely.
If you're looking to strengthen safety training, onboarding, or operational readiness, let's talk.

Today we pause to honor Juneteenth β the day freedom finally reached every American.
June 19, 1865. More than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, the last enslaved Americans in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free.
Freedom delayed is a reminder that progress isn't automatic. It takes intention. It takes truth-telling. It takes people who refuse to let the message get lost on its way to the people who need it most.
At CatapalloVR, we think a lot about how learning reaches people β whether the message is getting through, whether it's landing where it matters, whether the people closest to the work feel seen by it.
Today we're listening, learning, and honoring the resilience and contributions of Black Americans whose strength shaped this country.
Wishing you a meaningful Juneteenth.

What if your sales reps could practice the call that lost you last quarter's biggest deal β before they made it?
That's what AI sales practice does. Not a video. Not a roleplay with the manager. A real conversation with a buyer that talks back.
Here's what reps build inside the simulator:
π― Discovery muscle β practiced against real buyer personas, not generic scripts
π§ Objection reflexes β sharpened before the call, not after the loss
π£οΈ Reflection skills β the difference between parroting and listening
π A coaching scorecard for every rep, every call, every week
π Unlimited reps, zero damage to real pipeline
Your top performers practice on their own. Your developing reps need a place to fail safely. Now they have one.

Your safety managers are spending 5+ hours a week running the same onboarding training. Again.
What if those hours went back into the field, the floor, or the pipeline instead?
That's what custom interactive training does:
π― New hires practice scenarios before they hit the floor
π Repetitive PowerPoint sessions become 20-minute interactive modules
β±οΈ Onboarding shrinks from weeks to days
π Retention is measurable, not assumed
π Built once, used across every shift, every location, every new hire.
The classroom isn't the bottleneck. The repetition is.
Stop running the same training. Start running the same outcomes.
