Does your Company offer health care reimbursements? Small employers have commonly used reimbursement arrangements to help employees with their individual health insurance premiums and out-of-pocket health care costs.
Late in 2014, the IRS and the Department of Labor indicated that premium reimbursements, even if reported as taxable compensation, violated the market reforms and exposed the employer to the penalty.
