Through the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), Feeding San Diego provides free summer meals for children and teens 18 and younger throughout San Diego County. The weekly distribution at the Ramona Library starts this Wednesday, June 17, and goes through August 12.

Meals come in boxes containing one week’s worth of prepared meals (e.g., seven breakfasts and seven lunches) to be taken home. Parents or guardians can pick up meals without their kids present, but can only pick up from one SFSP meal site. Meals are served on a first-come basis. .

All SDCL branches will be CLOSED June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.

Calling all Kids & Teens! Check out all the amazing programs happening this Summer!

Summer Lunches will be available for teens and kids under the age of 18 on Wednesdays from 12-1pm, starting on June 17th.

Teens & Tweens grades 7–12 are invited to join us on Wednesday, June 3, at 4:00 pm for Manga of the Month!

San Diego County Library is kicking off Summer at Your Library, running from June 1 to August 31.

You’ll find the 2026 Summer Learning challenge, events, curated booklists, eBooks of the Month and summer meal programs.

Join the Summer Learning Challenge! Register online or stop by any SDCL branch. Download a learning log to keep track of your progress. Complete 10 books, reading hours and activities by August 31.

Once you've completed the challenge, visit any of our 33 branches to pick up your well-deserved prizes! The SDCL Summer Challenge is open to all ages and abilities, and learning logs are available online in nine different languages.

Summer at Your Library Summer Learning starts on June 1, 2026, but you can pre-register for the online program now!

The Ramona Library will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
