2022 was a year of high highs and low lows.
My dreams came true and we launched .bakestudio in January. We found out we were pregnant with our second child in March and the sickness was real.
My younger brother unexpectedly passed away in May, which led to cancelled orders and as much family time as we could get.
Finally, in December, baby Trey was born and we moved into a new house.
Needless to say, baking hasn’t been a priority. But here we are, 3 months into 2023, over a year since my rebrand, the kitchen has ‘reopened’

Wow..launch day was a huge hit and we can’t thank you enough for cheering us on as we jump in to this next adventure. Today, we want to introduce ourselves, the faces behind the gram.
I’m Whitney, owner and designer of ista bake studio. I’ve been baking all my life, inspired by my mom and both grandmothers, and this passion grew into a business. I love party planning almost as much as baking, and if you’ve ever been to any of our events, you know they are the right amount of extra + boujee and boarder line (okay, definitely) over the top.
Over the last year, my husband Mike has joined me in the kitchen. He cranks out the dough in bulk and handles the business behind the scenes. We’ve been married 2.5 years and I’m STILL trying to find his sweet tooth. He prefers to have berries for dessert over cake… I mean, I guess we all have flaws.
Finally, our little baby baker, Amelia. She’s 15 months old and loves to help in the kitchen. Shes and expert at turning on the mixer, pouring measured ingredients, and most importantly, she’s head taste tester.
Tell us.. what’s your go to dessert? Are you a fan of nature’s candy like Mike? Crispy and vanilla beany creme brûlée like me? Or anything with powdered sugar like Amelia?
