The Cultural Enrichment Services' upcoming Global Peace & Leadership Summit is set for Sept 19 - 21 at Masjid Ash Shaheed in Charlotte, NC. We ask that you sponsor a delegation of 3-4 young adults. This event targets our community's next generation of leaders, although those 40+ are encouraged to attend. An unfortunate condition that must change to improve African American family life in our society. Marriage & family life are foundational. Children learn moral, just, ethical values within the home with mother as their first teacher. The home is where behaviors of father and mother are modeled so both male and female children learn how to live into their responsibilities based on known standards and traditions that have kept humankind alive & productive over time down through the ages. So yes, family wealth includes financial material gains and it also includes, more importantly, knowledge gained, intellectual & reasoning capacities, just ethical moral standards, and human sensitivities exercised by family members. All of these ingredients are needed to build/maintain strong lasting families and societies.
