Hey Everyone, Northland Gardens Nursery will be CLOSED Sunday July 3rd thru Tuesday July 5th (3 Independent Days) to celebrate our freedom. We will resume our constricted schedule on Wednesday July 6th

Today this 30th day of November 2021 we sadly laid to rest our Chief Customer Greeter 'Miss Kitty'. She was over 20 years old. Our faithful, loving and dutiful mascot went into the great beyond
without pain (or at least any display of it) accepting affection right up to the end. And during the early hours of this morning after a battle with kidney failure she was gone. Her final meal was shrimp ... her absolute favorite.
Miss Kitty will surely be missed by every child & cat lover that ever came to visit. She just LOVED kids. She lived solely to love and to be loved. If only we humans knew such simplicity and contentment.
Miss Kitty came to Northland around 2011 a stray who was already an adult who had mothered at least once in her life and had since been spayed. Perhaps this explains her affinity for children. She never once raised a claw to a child or other human for that matter but she didn't like tiny dogs.
Miss Kitty's last day in the nursery was just a couple weeks ago and she was making herself involved and being as playful as 'getting sick' would allow her. This past summer alone Miss Kitty made dozens of new friends and those folks would stop in regularly just to see her... and she knew it. She knew that she was expected to greet incoming customers and she was happy to do so. She was a 'people-kitty'. In-fact, as weakened as she was becoming over this past season she almost never missed an opportunity to see people and make kids happy.

Kitty was a once in a lifetime pet and companion. She will never be replaced.
