This is why I love what I do. It may not seem like much to some, but after many hours of hard work and determination, there is no better feeling than holding the final finished product in my hand. .

This is the fourth book of Linda’s that I have had the opportunity to work with her on and am grateful for her faith in me and my abilities.

You can't change someone's perspective.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And, honestly? That's not your job.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Your job is to show up and be you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

After I left my marriage and started opening up about the truths that I experienced during those 9 years. I got to hear all sorts of different perspectives of what people thought about MY truths...about the experiences that I lived. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It hurt.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I sat back and let that pain and confusion permeate through my body. I was panicked. What? People didn't believe me? He was telling a diluted version of our truth and they believed him? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I decided to remove myself from other's perspectives and opinions about the choice that I had made to leave.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They weren't there. They didn't live it. And, truthfully, in their defense, I was DANG good at keeping it all on the down low and convincing MYSELF even that all was well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
At first I panicked. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But after the panic made its way out I removed myself from the pressure of changing ANYONE'S perspective. I knew my truth. I knew my scars. I didn't need to waist any more energy on trying to convince any other human being of what I already knew.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I knew. And that was all I needed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our job isn't to make it so everyone around you see you exactly how you want them to or even how you deserve to be seen. Our job is to be right with ourselves, and to be right with God.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Today, focus on yourself and on your healing. Today, focus on how you can improve your relationship with your higher power. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
