Artist Spotlight: Alphonso Horne

We are thrilled to welcome trumpet player Alphonso Horne to the project for the 5th Anniversary Season.

Juilliard Graduate and Multi-GRAMMY Award nominee Alphonso Horne is described by New York Times as a “devastating trumpeter” that thrills audiences with his soulful sound and
dramatic sensibility. The true embodiment of class and eclecticism, Alphonso has collaborated with artists from all genres and disciplines including Wynton Marsalis, Patti Labelle, and Rihanna.

Known for his high level of musicianship, Horne has performed with some of the leading musicians in jazz including, Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center, PBS Special: Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, and playing on Grammy nominated albums (Jamison, 2015; My Favorite Things, 2015).

Horne has also performed in several Tony-Award winning Broadway shows including “After
Midnight” and “Shuffle Along” featuring guest artists Fantasia Barrino, Toni Braxton, Audra
McDonald, Savion Glover and many more.

Alphonso can also be seen on CBS’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, The Louis
Armstrong musical on Broadway, “A Wonderful World”, in the jazz biopic, “BOLDEN”.

Artist Spotlight: Alexandra Rene Jones

Alexandra Rene Jones was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She trained at Jordan Academy of Dance at Butler University, Indianapolis School of Ballet, and Indiana University Ballet Theatre Class of 2021 (B.S. in Ballet with an Outside Field in Kinesiology, Minor in Psychology, & EMT Certification through the National Registry). 

Alexandra danced professionally with Ballet RI (previously Festival Ballet Providence) before joining Dance Theater of Harlem in 2023. Her repertoire includes George Balanchine’s Valse-Fantaisie, Walpurgisnacht, Concerto Barocco, Allegro Brillante, Donizetti Variations, Pas de Dix; Christopher Wheeldon’s Carousel: A Dance; Antony Tudor’s Dark Elegies; Jerome Robbins’ The Concert; Robert Garland’s Return, New Bach, The Cookout, Higher Ground, Nyman String Quartet No. II; William Forsythe’s Blake Works IV (The Barre Project), The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude; and Jodie Gates’ The Passage of Being.

Artist Spotlight: Joe Lynch

Rhode Island-native Joe Lynch began his training at Festival Ballet Providence (now Ballet RI), continuing his training at The Rock School for Dance Education and Boston Ballet School as a trainee. In 2017, Joe was hired into Ballet West II in Salt Lake City, Utah. Two years later, he was promoted into the main company, where he rose to the rank of demi-soloist. This is Joe’s 4th season with Revolve Dance Project.

Artist Spotlight: Kailee Hrabe

Originally from Swansboro, NC, Kailee trained locally before attending the pre-professional program at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy in New York City. Upon graduation, Kailee joined Festival Ballet Providence (now Ballet RI) where she danced as a company member for six seasons. Kailee is a founding member of Revolve Dance Project, and has performed with the company every season!

Artist Spotlight: Audrey Lukacz

Originally from Portsmouth, NH, Audrey graduated from Butler University’s Dance Department with a B.A. in Dance Pedagogy. Upon graduating, Audrey joined Ballet Rhode Island (formerly Festival Ballet Providence) as a trainee under the directorship of Kathleen Breen Combes.

In 2021, Audrey was promoted to Apprentice and then in 2023, was promoted to Company Artist. At Ballet RI, Adurey has performed works by Yury Yanowsky, Ken Ossola, Paulo Arrais, Lia Cirio, Trey McIntyre, Chanel DaSilva,Yusha Marie Sozrano, Emily Mistretta, and George Balanchine, among others.
