Henrietta had a successful day and won Grand Champion Tunis ewe in the junior show at the 2023 Ohio State Fair ! What makes it even better is that she was a homegrown ewe .

Did you know ? Tunis sheep are one of the oldest breeds of sheep indigenous to the United States. They are born with red wool to protect them from the elements but they soon gain a lighter fleece with maturity. Tunis are a very docile dual-purpose breed and they are good grazers and easy keepers.
