! U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command/ Sustainment Center of Excellence, Sustainment-Capability Development Integration Directorate and the Contested Logistics Cross Functional Team will host the Contested Logistics Industry Week, 12- 14 September!
The theme is Sustaining the Army of 2040. Attendees will be engaged all week with speakers, panels and technology briefs from DoD, Academia and Industry thought leaders. The topics for the panel discussions include: Data/AI/ML Education to enable decision advantage, Maritime Capabilities, Power generation (demand reduction), Advanced Manufacturing and Training with Industry Partners.

Please join the AUSA team in congratulating the Instructor & Educator of the Year for the Quartermaster School.
Command Sgt. Maj. Tisa W. Scott, Quartermaster School CSM, and CSM Tamisha A. Love, Garrison CSM, flank James Vardy, Logistics Training Department instructor and Staff Sgt. William Hudson, Petroleum and Water Department instructor, after they were named as QM School Educator and Instructor of the Year, respectively, during a ceremony Dec. 13 at the PWD auditorium. Yvonne Griffith of PWD and SSG Michael Vandenberg of LTD, were the respective runners-up.
Five civilians and eight Soldiers competed in the weeklong competition that concluded Dec. 9. It included classroom evaluations; a selection panel board; Army Combat Fitness Test; 6-mile ruck mark; and essay. The winners will go on to compete in the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command competition scheduled for next year.

REMINDER: The Sisisky Gate at Fort Lee will become the post’s main gate effective TOMORROW, DEC. 15. It is among several changes aimed at improving accessibility for personnel, residents and visitors that include new hours for the Sisisky, Lee and Mahone gates, and implementation of the Trusted Traveler program.
📣 As you may have heard, a military panel recommended Fort Lee be renamed Fort Gregg-Adams to honor two trailblazing black officers.
With the transition of Fort Lee, the AUSA Fort Lee & Southern Virginia Chapter is also in search of a new name.

Through the stories of those who served, the nation’s leading state War Memorial honors Virginia’s fallen and preserves the past. In the process of helping veterans find their voice and collecting and telling their stories, the Memorial also educates and inspires for the future.

Come on out to Fort Lee’s Grand Illumination Thursday, December 1, at 4:00 p.m., when we light up the corner of Mahone Avenue and Battle Drive with our special holiday tree. There will be cookies, carolers, food trucks and a performance by the U.S. Army TRADOC Band
Kids can drop off their letters to Santa or ride the Candy Express Train through the winter wonderland. Santa is scheduled to arrive around 4:40 p.m. to visit with the kids and pose for photos.
See you at this free event, the Lee Club front lawn.

The Lee Playhouse theater group here opened its 2022-’23 season this weekend with the first performance of “Into The Woods,” a Stephen Sondheim musical starring volunteer actors from the local community.
Additional shows are scheduled for Nov. 17, 18, 19, 25 and 26 at 8 p.m.; Nov. 13, 20 and 27 at 3 p.m.; and Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. All performances are open to the public.
