Congrats to Cameron Boyd and Maclay Cerny for each earning a $500 scholarship by submitting their essay. You ladies are so accomplished already and your drive and determination will bring many great things in your future.

Thank you to all our wonderful Vendors and the many patrons who joined us today for our 12th Annual Tinsel Town Bazaar. We are so grateful to everyone for attending our largest show yet! Your generosity is going right back into the community this holiday season as we support our Thanksgiving and Christmas families who need a little assistance with dinner and gifts.

We are already gearing up for next years bazaar. Mark your calendars for Saturday November 11th 2023. See you then and again, thank you and we wish you a happy and blessed holiday season.

James River Junior Woman’s Club will be accepting donations of gently used formal dresses appropriate for Prom, Homecoming, Millitary Ball, etc. We will be hosting a “Say Yes to the Dress” event in March for young ladies to shop for dresses for just $5! Details will be posted soon. Contact any club member to pick up donated dresses!

-The ALS Raffle and Awareness was a success
-PG Sheriff’s Dept got the word out about Project Lifesaver.
-We have 178 cards signed and ready to send to the troops to wish them a happy holiday and thank them 🇺🇸
Everyone enjoyed Krispy Kreme Donuts and Chick Fil A sandwiches from the food booth.
-Thank you to all our fabulous vendors for your participation and JRJWC appreciates each of you.
Remember, all proceeds from our club go back into the community. We will be feeding Thanksgiving Dinner and providing Christmas gifts for families in need this holiday and many other things through the year thanks to your generosity.

James River Juniors would like to thank everyone for making the 2021 Prince George HS Graduation parade a success! Despite the clouds and drizzle we had fun! Gift bags were handed out as the participants left the lot for the parade, DJ spun tunes for entertainment and a huge shout out to Prince George County Police and Prince George Fire EMS Co #1 & Co 2 Disputanta for your enthusiastic participation!

Wednesday, February 10 is the first day of Lent! What are you willing to give up for 40 days? We think this is a great idea! Let us all be better people and help those in need! If you’d like to participate bring your bags to our April meeting and we’ll get them where the items are needed. Donated items will be going to Crater Community Hospice Thrift shop. If you are interested in joining our wonderful club, please reach out to any club member.

Next Sunday, December 13, 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist church parking lot, we will have a Christmas music service led by our Praise Team. Lots of traditional carols for singing along, lots of special music by soloists and the team. It’s supposed to be nice weather. Get out of the car and sit in chairs, just not huddled in groups.

With so many things being cancelled and so few opportunities to enjoy the music of the season, COME LET US ADORE HIM.

Holiday shoppers thrilled to purchase gifts in person at the Tinsel Town Holiday Bazaar Local woman's club raises money for those in need this holiday season, 49 vendors were thrilled setting up booths at the in-person shopping event

The GFWC James River Junior Woman’s Club is joining forces with the Prince George County School System to collect candy for this event! Please drop off any candy donations at the School Board Office or contact any club member to pick up your donation. We thank you for supporting our county students!

This is Danielle, the plastic grocery bags donated by GFWC James River Juniors gives Danielle something to do while at home during the Pandemic, helps the environment and provides homeless mats to those in our community in need. She was like a kid on Christmas morning when she saw all the bags we sent. She is holding an example of what she makes.....
