🔋 Safety Tip from Poway Neighborhood Emergency Corps

Some of the gifts received this holiday season may have included battery-powered items -
Lithium-ion batteries can overheat and cause fires if not charged properly. Help reduce risk by following these simple safety tips:

✔️ Charge scooters, e-bikes, and power tools **outside** on a hard, flat, non-flammable surface
✔️ Keep chargers away from decorations, packaging, and other flammable items
✔️ Use only the **manufacturer’s approved charger** and unplug once fully charged
✔️ Never charge batteries while sleeping or when away from home

Small steps make a big difference in keeping our homes and community safe.

Update - Today Council unanimously agreed to hold special election to fill D2 Council vacancy on June 2nd, 2026. If elected, I pledge to represent the RESIDENTS of D2 and Poway with respect and open ears. I look forward to learning about issues that affect you, and about how I can best serve our community. In the meantime, I wish you all a very happy holiday season and the brightest of New Year's.

Poway Community Foundation awards $106K in grants The Poway Community Foundation has awarded $106,000 in grants, shared among 16 local programs that benefit Powegians.

In preparation for Trout Season Opening Day on Friday, December 5, will be closed to fishing and boating December 2 through December 4.

We'll be stocking the Lake with 2,000 lbs. of rainbow trout from Wright's Rainbows in Idaho. Be sure to come out starting December 5 and reel in the good times! More information on the trout stocking schedule can be found online at Poway.org.

Veterans Day Ceremony

Tuesday the 11th, 11 am

This year marks 15 years of Veterans Day remembrances at Poway Veterans Park. VFW Post 7907 and the Poway Veterans Park Committee invites the community for its annual ceremony tomorrow (Nov. 11) at 11 a.m. to honor those who selflessly have served and are currently serving our country. Veterans Park is located at 14134 Midland Road.

2026 special election date to fill D2 council seat still TBD. I will be running again and look forward to the opportunity to represent the residents of D2 and Poway.
