If you’re looking to take on a new skill, but you’re not that crafty, I strongly suggest trying your hand at loom weaving. I purchased a kid’s loom from and have been creating small tapestries. If you’ve been to RP, you’ll know that I am whatever the opposite of a perfectionist is and I’ve been able to create textile art that I’m proud of.

Loved taking an intro aerials class with Amanda Jane at in this morning. Easy enough for beginners and very fun (and you might break a sweat). There are six more classes available through the end of the month! DM Amanda for details!

A quick Renaissance Person love letter to and their extensive list of how-to books and . We got a few from someone in our neighborhood group and then had to go order a ton more. I hope you check them out and help keep small batch publishing alive while picking up some new skills!

It’s been a long time since our last post. We moved to Poughkeepsie in September to be closer to family and the fate of RP has been tenuous since CoVID - but we’re constantly reminded about the amazing skills we’ve learned from past events. Mike is channeling his inner tonight by hand mending a pair of pants, I collected a new sourdough starter from a neighbor this morning to put my skills to work, and we shucked oysters all Fall with our oyster CSA pick-up in Beacon. It’s still uncertain what the future holds, but I’m so grateful for all of skills we’ve learned together through the years! Xo. Gina

We have another collaboration with coming up on August 22nd! We’ll be joined by Dr. Carmen Campos of for “Anatomy of a Sock Puppet”! We’ll make our own customized puppets and discuss how to use them to bring your stories to life! $40 and includes wine or beer (dry tickets available!) Link in bio!
